Why can't I scream,
Why can't I cry
Why can't I shout,
And slowly dieWhy is the world such an unfair place,
Why do they judge based on religion and race
Why do the stereotypes follow you around,
In your own fears you are drownedWhy can't I fly away from this town,
Why can't I turn the world upside down
Why do I have to do things like everyone else,
When I do it my way they say I need helpWhy can't I scream,
Why am I not flying
My wings are broken,
I'm slowly dyingAn angel with her broken wings,
Is as good as a queen without a king
They said that opportunity is for one and for all,
But was Cinderella even allowed to go to that ball? They said that freedom is a birth right,
But in order to grasp it I must fight
An angel with her broken wings,
She clutches her wound as the claw marks stingWhy can't I scream,
The words left unsaid
My wings are broken,
I'm already dead.~Olivia
