The Daytrippers' investigation was not going well. Posing as a reporter, Dawn managed to talked her way into the office of Mildred O'Dell, CEO of Nexus Software Solutions. Nexus was Midas's rival, and their largest contractor. They hoped to get some kind of dirt on what was happening with the big players. But O'Dell was more canny than she expected.
"You seem awfully young to be a journalist," O'Dell commented with a bemused smile. Dawn squirmed in her chair.
"The young look is in for avatars this year," she ventured.
"Is it?" Mildred asked, and pushed the button for Security.
