Chapter 14: Second Quarter
And the Second Quarter begins!
"They've been pressing on us since the start, I think it's finally time for our counter attack. We're taking three at a time."
Akashi did the throw in, and immediately Midorima caught it, and he shot his High-Projectile Three!
"Wah! A three! Right from the start!" the crowd yelled.
"Damn, that arch is just insane!" Yato exclaimed from the bench.
"I can do better," Tamaki pouted. Suddenly he felt something smack his head. "Ow! That hurts Ayari-chan!"
"Don't go trying to copy him. You're not Kise," Ayari said.
"Hai..."
On the court, Katatsura had the ball. He was about to throw to Takumi, when... Aomine came in and stole it!
"Hah!" Aomine smiled. Then he dribbled to the hoop. Brett was in front of him in a second. But Aomine blew past him. Takumi came in to assist. But just before Aomine could get blocked... he threw the ball back to Midorima.
And another High Projectile Three!
"Wah! Another one!"
"They're coming at us in threes," Tetsuya said. He turned to look at Kazuto. He didn't even have to say anything, but Kazuto understood.
Tetsuya did the throw in, and Katatsura caught it. He was just about to pass to Takumi, when Kise came in and stole the ball.
"Again!" Katatsura thought, clicking his tongue in annoyance.
Kise drove past Tetsuya, and then passed it to Akashi, who passed it to Midorima.
Midorima shot another three, and it went in.
"Wah!! That's three in a row! And the point difference is-"
31-40. GOM in lead.
Throw in by Takumi. Brett gets the ball. He dribbles it past Kise, and passes it to Katatsura who then passes it to Tetsuya. The ball curved and it got to Takumi. He was about to shoot a layup, but he got blocked by Murasakibara.
It bounced away, but Katatsura caught it. But then, the ball got knocked out of his hands by Akashi. "Shit!"
The ball got thrown to Midorima, and he threw another one again!
Another basket, worth three points soared through the air. But then, the GOM and everyone else saw him. Kazuto! Standing underneath the net. And just before the ball got through the hoop...
He had already jumped and knocked the ball out of the way!
"What was that!?" the crowd cheered. "He stopped the three!"
The GOM were in shock. "A block after a throw?!" they thought in shock. And he timed it perfectly, nonetheless.
Tetsuya smiled. The training really paid off.

"You want us to do what?" Kazuto asked Tetsuya in bewilderment. Hitogaku by his side. "Stop the shot just before it entered the hoop?"
