It's like you're in water, with everyone around you.
And the water is nice and warm,
But where you swim, it is frigid and cold.
And the ice finally finds its way to your lungs,
And then you're drowning.
And people try to help, but you've sunk too far down for them to grasp ahold of you.
So they give up and carry on, enjoying their lives,
While you are so far down you cannot see the sun anymore.
And you stay there.
That is what depression is like.
