Fifty // I Do (Genie)

A/N: Posted The song that Genie and Calum have their first dance as married couple to at the top and if you haven't heard it then you should definitely make sure you do after or during this chapter because it is such a beautiful song and I honestly hope to have it as my wedding song one day. Also this chapter is very long so apologies for that but I hope you enjoy!

Genie's P.O.V.

Today was the day.

From now on Saturday the twenty fourth of June would forever be one of my favourite days in history and it had not even begun yet. My eyes fluttered open to the sun shining through the curtains, lighting up my entire room which in contrast was exactly how I was feeling today.

Light and bright.

The excitement was flowing through my entire body and I didn't know how I was going to make it through the next couple of hours, ovbiously I would be busy with getting ready and making sure everything was going to plan but I knew that no matter what I was doing today nothing was going to distract me from the absolute excitement that I was feeling.

I was marrying the love of the my life today.

I was marrying Calum. The boy who was once just a friend of my high school boyfriend who then became a dear friend of mine and then became my beyond awesome room mate.Somewhere a long the way he became a romantic interest, and then somehow that friendship turned to love and then he was mine. Today he would become mine forever and life really did not get any better than that. As cheesy as it was I couldn't help but think that this is what dreams were made of. In this world you were lucky if the person you loved, loved you back and I was clearly one of the lucky ones.

My ears perk at the sound of the bedroom door opening and a few seconds later I see Sam poke her head around the corner, a bright smile instantly finding it's way to her face as she makes eye contact with me.

"She's awake," Sam mutters before opening the door completely, revealing my best friends in the entire world. Standing behind Sam with equally giddy smiles on all of their faces was Aria, Emma, Claudia and Mali.

"I'm getting married today." I sing song happily and within a few seconds the girls come racing in to the room and are joining me in bed.

"We were going to pull you up and jump on the bed but we don't want baby girl clifford popping out." Sam admits, a giggle following. Aria hums a happy smile on her face as her hands rub over her swollen baby bump. It was still so surreal that in just a month or so Aria and Michael were going to be welcoming their daughter in to the world.

"And we didn't want to break the bed or anything." Emma adds.

"That's for you and Calum to do tonight." Claudia says wiggling her eyebrows at me suggestively and Mali instantly pulls a face as the word 'ew' escapes her lips. I was sure that hearing about your brothers sex life would always be uncomfortable, no matter how close you were or how old you got.

"You just had to go there didn't you?" I snort shaking my head in amusement at Claudia who just shrugs. I really should of just expected it though, I mean it was Claudia after all.

"So how do you feel this morning?" Sam asks and I couldn't help but wonder if today was making her think back to her own wedding day. I can remember so clearly just how happy she was that day, probably the happiest I had ever seen her and I hated the fact that she didn't have that happiness now, she had found a different type of happiness after splitting from Andrew, I just hoped it was enough for her.

"You know I feel really good." I admit truthfully. It was funny when I thought about it because I feel like brides are often shown to be stressed out crazy messes, but that was the exact opposite of how I felt today.
