Chapter 8: Searching and Hiding

Sorry that it took me so long to update but I was busy making that picture up there and it's the new cover for this story. And I'm just making a new chapter here because my twin Conny wants me ... once again ... to continue on this book. But also because I have some problems with writing the next chapter at my Baby story ... oh well, maybe I have some ideas later. Anyway enjoy reading.

The next morning Shadow and his friends were standing in front of the castle door. "Alright are you ready to search for the princess and Sonic?" Shadow said as he stood in front of the others. They all nodded and they went out of the castle. "So were do we start searching?" Silver asked, who walked next to Shadow in the front. 

"I would start in the woods, if Sonic really ran away with Amy, he's going somewhere were nobody can see them." Shadow said knowing his brother well. "You sure they are in the forest of our kingdom and not ... I don't know ... in the city?" Knuckles asked. "Sure he's sure, after all he's our brother so I think Shadow is right about where he went." Silver said and they started walking towards the forest of the kingdom.

Back at the castle Rouge and Cream were behind some bushes as they saw Shadow and the others leave the castle. "Alright Cream, let's go but be quiet so they aren't noticing us." Rouge said as she and Cream went out of the bushes. "Okay." Cream said as she walked behind Rouge and both went towards the door but got stopped by a guard. 

"Where are you both going?" the guard asked and Cream looked worried at Rouge. "We are going in the village and now move, we're in a hurry." Rouge said as she pushed the guard out of her way. "Wow Rouge, that was awesome." Cream said and smiled at Rouge. "Thanks and now hurry up before we lose sight of Shadow" Rouge said and Cream nodded.

Meanwhile with Sonic and Amy ...

Sonic woke up first and noticed Amy snuggling up to him and he blushed lightly. He slowly moved away from Amy, trying not to wake her and got out of the den. As he was outside he looked around and noticed it was early in the morning. "Hm I hope Amy doesn't wake up while I'm on my morning run." Sonic thought as he looked back at Amy, who was still sleeping. "She should be fine and besides, I'm only gone for like five minutes." Sonic said and started running.

Back to Shadow and the others who were already in the woods ...

After they walked like two hours Knuckles already got annoyed by everything. "Why does this damn Hedgehog has to kidnap the princess, now we can search for him." Knuckles said as he walked next to Tails. "Knuckles shut up, that's my brother you're talking about and we don't even know if he's with Amy." Silver said who was in front of him with Shadow. 

"And besides you don't have to come with us, you also could have stayed home." Shadow said as he glared at Knuckles. "But it's bored without you guys around and could we at least make a break, I'm hungry" Knuckles said and Tails rolled his eyes. "Alright let's take a break." Shadow said and stopped walking. They all sat down and started eating.

Rouge and Cream were near the group behind some bushes as they also sat down and ate something. "This would be so much easier if they just let us come with them." Rouge said annoyed as she searched in her bag for some bread. "Not so loud Rouge, they could hear us and when they find us they'll be really angry." Cream said as she drank a bit of water. 

"Sorry Cream- ... ha found you." Rouge said as she finally found the bread she was looking for in her bag. Rouge sat back but accidentally leaned on a stick and it made a cracking sound as it snapped into two. "No, damn you stick." Rouge said and pushed the stick away from her.

Blaze stopped eating as she thought she heard something. "Blaze what's wrong?" Shade asked, who sat beside her. "I think I heard something." Blaze said and put her food away and stood up. She took her sword and Shade did the same. "Hey girls what's wrong?" Knuckles asked as he looked confused at the two females. "We are just going to check something out." Blaze said and walked towards the bushes with Shade right behind her. 

As they came closer to the bushes they heard noises again and the boys also got up from their seats and took their weapons. Blaze looked at Shade and the both jumped behind the bushes ready to fight whoever is behind there. "PLEASE DON'T KILL US!" Cream screamed as she hugged Rouge.

Sonic stopped his run as he heard someone scream. He ran towards the scream but got slower as he saw a few people standing around some bushes. "That can't be, what are they doing here?" Sonic said as he recognized his friends. Sonic got a bit closer so he can listen to their conversation. "Please don't let them search for Amy and me." Sonic whispered worried.

"We aren't killing you and stop screaming. What are you two even doing here?" Shade asked as she put her sword away as well as Blaze. "ROUGE, CREAM, HAVEN'T I TOLD YOU TO STAY IN THE CASTLE." Shadow said angry as he saw them. "About that, you can't tell us what we should do and besides, we want to search for Amy as well, she's one of our best friends." Rouge said glaring at Shadow. "But we can't take you with us, you two are maids." Knuckles said before Shadow could say something. "Watch it Knucklehead." Rouge said and glared at him as well as Cream. 

"But we can't take you with us, it could be dangerous." Shadow said worried about their well being. "We can handle that and we also can fight, well me more than Cream but still." Rouge said and crossed her arms. "Come on Shadow let them go with us, even if you say no, they would follow us." Silver said and Tails agreed. "Fine, you can come with us but stay out of trouble while you are here and just to make it clear, I'm the leader." Shadow said as he turned around and walked back to his bag. 

"What? We're really taking them with us?" Knuckles asked. "Yeah, got a problem with that?" Blaze said and walked past him. "Sure I have a problem, I'm sure they will make trouble." Knuckles said angry. "Come on Knuckles, it wouldn't be so bad." Shade said smiling and looked at Knuckles. "Enough talking for now, come on we have to go if we want to find them." Shadow said as he picked his bag up and looked back at his friends.

"So they really are searching for us." Sonic said and ran back to the den. Amy was still sleeping as he came back, but he has to wake her up, because his brother was leading their friends directly to them. "Ames wake up, we have to get going." Sonic said as he shake Amy a bit to wake her up. "Just a few more minutes Rouge." Amy said as she turned around. "We don't have a few more minutes and I'm not Rouge." Sonic said a bit louder to wake her up. "Alright I'm up, why are you in such a hurry?" Amy asked as she and Sonic crawled out of the den.

"Our friends are searching for us and they are just a few minutes away from here and they are heading in our direction." Sonic said as he put some dirt on the fire place. "What! Do you think my father send them out to search for us?" Amy said as she looked around. "I don't know but if you don't want to get back to the castle we better get going before they see us." Sonic said as he picked Amy up and started running.
