I woke up to a couple of small kisses around my face. I pretended to not have noticed until Gerard's lips landed on mine. Before he could pull away, I pressed my lips against his and wrapped my arms around his waist, pulling him against me. He let out a surprised squeak but immediately kissed back. I hummed contently, then released him. I loved how comfortable he was getting around me. "S-sorry, I was bored and I wanted to wake you up in a sweet way."
"That's a real nice way of waking up..." I mumbled, my voice still raspy with sleep. "I don't have a problem with it." Gerard smiled widely at me and sat back on his knees. I sat up as well and scooted back so my back was against my wall. "What time is it?"
"It's noon," Gerard responded. His lips were slightly upturned into a pleased smile as he looked at me.
"Are you hungry?" I asked him.
He looked thoughtful for a moment before he nodded, "But I want to rest with you here a while longer, I heard Lindsey go downstairs before I woke you, I haven't heard her come back up." I nodded and pulled him against me. He shifted so that he wasn't sitting on his heels anymore.
"How do you feel?" I asked him.
"Happy. You make me happy," he said looking at me as he said that.
I blushed a bit and he smiled even wider. "You make me happy too." I leaned over to him and kissed him gently. It wasn't long before we heard footsteps coming up the stairs. "Alright, let's go get some food."
Gerard nodded and went to his bag to grab his pajama pants. He slid them on we went downstairs, I had his hand in mine as I lead us downstairs. When we went into the kitchen I looked through the cabinets. "We have cereal, oatmeal and... cereal?"
Gerard laughed a bit and looked into our fridge. "I can make us something. Does Mrs. Ballato buy vegan food?"
I nodded, I'm surprised he remembered that "They're all vegetarians." I stated. When I first got here, I was glad that we had at least had that in common, not eating meat but mine was more of a lifestyle and theirs was dietary. "So just about anything, we can use."
He nodded with a smile and began pulling out ingredients. "How's an omelet sound?" He asked. "Do you guys have the uh... vegan egg thingies?"
"Substitute eggs are on the refrigerator door," I said with a chuckle. As he was digging through the refrigerator, I walked up behind. He stood up straight, running his back right into me. He was just in the middle of an apology before I attached my lips to the back of his neck. He let out a surprised gasp and immediately covered his neck and pulled away from me. He looked at me wide eyed and his face extremely red.
"S-sorry, that part of m-my neck is extremely sensitive," he said with an awkward smile. "So um... we...we'll save that for upstairs."
I grinned at him with a relieved look on my face, glad I didn't do anything wrong or hurt him. "Sorry, sweetheart," I mumbled and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
He smiled at me. "It's fine," he responded and then placed the ingredients on the counter.
I pushed myself up onto the counter top to sit as I watched him cook. "I'd help but I'm completely useless in the kitchen," I sighed, kicking my feet back and forth. "But if you need something mixed, I'm your guy."
Gerard laughed a bit, his shoulder shaking slightly as he began putting ingredients together. "Mm, thank you, but I'll be fine," he said. His voiced sounded concentrated as he looked at directions for certain ingredients. "Where are your bowls?" He asked.
