I
My name is Meredith, 17 years old and a senior in Wenditth High School. It was now January, school had started a few weeks ago. I stood looking at the snowflakes falling from the sky as I looked down from the rooftop, noticing a boy at the bottom of the stairs staring off. He was not wearing the designated uniform of our school. Even from a distance, I could see how strikingly handsome he was, with his sharp jaw and black hair, a look that only he could pulled off. His piercing black eyes looked up as he noticed my stare. I stared back as I took in all of him. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he looked up at me and give me a last look.before he walked inside the General building.
There was still 15 miutes before class began so I decided to stay at the rooftop to glance at the sky. The sky was a beautiful sky blue, with clouds covering the morning sun, the clouds looked so fluffy and soft that I reached out my hand to attempt to touch it. As the clouds dispersed, I reflected back on my life.
I had nothing else except a loving father, my mother had past away 10 years ago due to cancer. I had no friends, as soon as my classmates heard that I was the daughter of the CEO of Fullinton Estates, they had all swam to me, and showed me fake attention, wanting just the reputation of my father's company and the money they think they could get if they were friends with me, and when I paid them no heed, they had all went back to their friends and resumed their original activities. My long black hair swinged around in the air as the wind blew. I had a good feeling that something exciting was going to happen.
"BRRRRRING...........! BRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIING.........!" The bell rang. I stood to my toes and started heading towards the classroom. I was the first one to reach the classroom, behind me, I could see students rushing but pausing once they see me. Was I that scary? That they do not want to approach me? And to think that they're older than me.. Well, whatever.
I've skipped one grade ahead of what I should be. So yeah, that's all there is to me, I'm a boring person.
"Class, today we have a new transfer student, his name is Damien Robertson." The balding teacher called Mr Smith announced, his eyes as though he was scared of offending this "Damien" .
Just then I remembered.
Robertson, a well-known name for the industry of entertainment, they had promoted many promising idols and actors to the world, to which some of them reside in Hollywood. He stepped in and I recognized him as the previous boy who I had made eye contact earlier with. His black hair swept over his eyes, making it only barely visible yet giving him the outlook of 'mysterious', but even without that portion, it was obvious that he was in a different level than all those boys you could see in my class, but he was comparable to the jocks in this school.
"My name is Damien, and as you've heard from the teacher, I'm a transfer student." He introduced, causing some of the girls in class to swoon and making those "Ahh, I'm falling in love with him right now" sounds, I felt the urge to laugh, the state of the girls just after a guy came in, okay.., he's hot, but then again, so what? There're plenty of guys that are hot. I looked at him and saw that he paid no heed to those girls and was only staring at me.
I hate it the most when people look at me for no reason. I stood up from my seat and spoke sharply, " Do you mind if you stop looking at me? Cause I do mind, greatly." staring straight at him, issusing him a warning. "Why not? I like what I see." He challenged. Oh, so he wants a challenge, does he? Well, a challenge he shall get!
"Oh really? Then, tell me, what did you see?" I taunted, the end of my lips raising. "Okay, that's enough, stop it right now!" Baldy interfered, putting himself in the middle of the two of us, his actions showing serious signs that he would not back down from this, I backed off from his challenge and sat back down, while glaring at the students to stop looking at the commotion.
"Alright, so Damien, your seat would be.......," Mr Smith said absentmindedly, as he picked up the list of assiged seats and scanned through for any empty seats. "It's right between Meredith and the window there," he announced and pointed at the empty seat next to my left.
