Late nights

Sitting on the couch in my scrunched up position scrolling through tumbler I glanced up to see phil standing in front of me "do you want dinner bear?" He asked and I sighed smiling at the little name before sitting up and nodding as he walked away to order pizza. I shivered at the thought of us watching anime and being close together like we did every night, having loved phil more than a friend for about a year I knew I had chances to tell him but always avoided the topic in my mind. I looked down at my lap feeling tears rush to my eyes. "He's not gay or bi I know he isn't and I can't tel him how I feel it'd ruin our friendship I know it would" curling up into a ball I wiped some of the tears away and closed my eyes trying not to think about it. "Danny?..." I froze and clenched my eyes tighter making tears stream down my cheeks. "Dan..." I felt warm arms wrap around me as he pulled my close and laid my head on his lap twirling my curly hair around his finger "tell me what's wrong bear" he said in a gentle voice trying to sooth me "I-I'm ok just had some bad thoughts" he nodded and didn't ask to hear about them as he held me close. Moments later the door bell rang and he stood up and walked over sighing a tiny slip of paper and bringing the box over to us and sat it on the coffee table. The smell of pizza distracted me as my eyes lit up and looked over at phil with begging eyes for the first piece. He smiled and nodded turning on Netflix and putting on the same movie we both loved to make fun of. Maybe I like it this way....
