Song: The Ballad of Star Butterfly by Patrick Stump
Marco's POV
I ran as fast as I could back to the stage. "JANNA! JANNA!!!" I yelled looking for the brunette. She must've heard my name because next thing I knew she grabbed me by the shoulders to calm me down.
"What is up with you?!" I looked into her eyes tears spilling down my cheeks.
"It's Star. This weird, creepy guy took her and I tried to chase him but he was able to get away and now I have no idea where she is and it's all my fault!!" I rant.
"Marco, look at me. This is not you fault, yo-" She started saying but then I interupted her.
"Janna!! She was literally at my fingertips. I could've been able to get her in time of I wasn't so stupid!!" My hand started to smack my forehead until Janna took a hold of it.
"None of this is your fault, Marco! You didn't know that this guy would try and kidnap Star. But I do promise you one thing, we are going to try our hardest to find her, got that." She said poking my chest.
I nodded in response before Janna turned me around and pushed me towards the exit. "Now go, get yourself some sleep. It's going to be a long day tomorrow."
My motorcycle was only going 40mph and a bunch of cars were passing me, but I dont care. I was only thinking about Star and the terrified look that was on her face before that jackass took her.
When I got home, I just plopped myself on my bed, falling asleep at the thoughts of Star, and the memories we've had together in the short amount of time we've known each other.
...
I woke up hoping that everything that I thought happened yesterday was a dream.
Too bad it wasn't.
Walking over to my kitchen table, I noticed this sheet of paper lying there. I picked it up, and it read,
Want to find your precious Star? She may be near, she may be far. If you want to find her, listen close. Go to the place where grass mostly grows. Kids like to play, they might all day, but when they're tired they'll quit. Good luck, trust me, you will need it.
I unlocked my phone and dialed the one who promised she would help. "Janna! Meet me at Stop and Slurp. It's an emergency. It'll lead us to where Star is."
"Don't need to tell me twice."
Right after I ended the call, I sped over to our meeting place. Jumping out off of the motorcycle, I ran over to Janna and handed her the note. "Read this."
I watched as she read it, mumbling to herself. She snapped her fingers. "The park. Let's go." We hopped onto my bike, and in our way there we went through some red lights.
We jogged over to where the children were and looked around for another note. I spotted a white square taped to one of the slides and took it.
You need to try harder this time, but don't worry, if you can't find her it's not a crime. Head to the spot when Star last sang, underneath the where the sparkling lights still hang.
Janna and I looked at each other and nodded our heads, both knowing the other was thinking.
The Stop and Slurp.
We got there as fast as we could and looked for the last note. There was a line of lights above where Star sang, and we were able to find another with a picture of Star on it.
Wow, you've actually been able to use that brain of yours. You should hurry up, I don't think you'd want a girlfriend corpse. This picture of Star is where she is at, the key to find her is under the mat.
