“I felt like an animal, and animals don’t know sin, do they?”

Chapter Twenty One- Lies.

James was eighteen when he had first met Mila Carmen. And in his humble, teenage, hormones ridden opinion he hadn’t seen a hotter woman than her.

For him, Mila was the epitome, he couldn’t imagine someone hotter than her and the fact that she was older to him made all of this even more erotic to him. It made James feel like an immature teenage boy, the way he had never acted before.

Mainly because James had to grow up way too fast, he never actually had a childhood. All he had learned during his pubescent years was how to fight someone who was twice your weight and height, how to hotwire the most expensive of cars and how to sell drugs. All of this without getting into any trouble with cops.

But, back to Mila now, the girl who haunted James’s dreams, the girl who turned the cool, calm and collected James into a mush just by fluttering those lazy eyes at him and pouting her swollen lips.

It might be one of the reasons why James couldn’t refuse her proposition when she surprisingly came to his company’s office in the morning, waiting in the lounge area patiently for James.

‘’Hi,’’ She said with a grin that made James feel like the hormones ridden eighteen year old again.

James blinked at her, Mila was dressed in a tight grey dress which was formal looking but on Mila it looked very informal. It was as if everything on Mila looked vulgar and sexy, dirty and hot. Both the things at the same time.

James gulped before replying, trying not to stare at her too much, ‘’Mila,’’ He replied back with a nod.

Mila took a step forward, ‘’I was just wondering James...’’ She trailed off, keeping a manicured hand on his arms seductively, ‘’We had an amazing time at our date last time, would you want to do that again?’’ Her hands squeezed his arms firmly, reminding him of the night which followed after the dinner. James’s throat immediately parched as he felt excitement course through his veins.

He was going to be with Mila again. Praise the fucking lords.

But just as about the thought entered about Mila and him, he was immediately reminded of a certain brunette, who he had danced with last night, who he had changed into comfortable sleeping clothes and almost lost control of him at the sight of her half naked body.

Vivian fucking Wade. James thought begrudgingly.

Why the hell was he thinking about her? It was clear that with him and Vivian nothing was ever going to materialize. They were poles apart, she was this little-miss-perfect who was always so poised and polished and James was, what was James? Well, he was a gangster, a hooligan, a criminal, a man who didn’t belong in Vivian’s world.

But he did belong in Mila’s. She was the kind of woman who loved the thrill of what James was, she was messy, she was dirty and she wanted James. And unlike Vivian, she didn’t look at him with disdain because of his profession.

‘’Sure,’’ James replied back with a smirk. Even though Mila was still the same woman, she hardly was able to generate the same reaction like she used to eight years back from James. Now, James was all mysterious, detached and unbelievably hot.

James had grown into a man that, oozed power, he had the kind of aura that when he walks into a room you have to look at him. He was the kind of man you fantasized your whole life about, your own bad boy, the man with a menacing look, who killed people without wincing, the man without any sense of morality.
