(Okay so from here is until further notice, the time is going to be when they're in school. When the story catches up to present day, it will continue from there, but I can't continue that without spoiling so yeah)

***Suga's POV***

As Daichi walked out the door of my dorm, I sighed softly, realizing that my new roommate would walk through that same door any minute now. I closed my eyes wondering who it would be, knowing that this person would either be my best friend or worst nightmare. An hour or so had passed before there was a knock on the door. I stood up slowly from my bed and walked quickly over, opening the door to a brown haired boy. "No..."

"Sugawara-san?" Oikawa asked, slightly shocked but also amused by my reaction. He walked in with some of his things as I stood there, my jaw nearly touching the floor.

"There's is no way that you, of all people, are my roommate! Weren't you going with Iwaizumi and Kuroo... With Daichi?" I looked up at him curiously but stood my ground.

"You're right, I was going to go with Hajime, but what good would it be if I went to a university with the best volleyball team in the country, with some of the most amazing first years? I came here to prove that I'm capable of being a great leader. Plus, the academics are better."

I rolled my eyes and went to sit down. "You sure you didn't just come here to torment me?" I closed my eyes and sighed softly, wishing more than ever that Daichi would be here. As I rested my head, I heard his footsteps slowly get closer. The hairs on the back of my neck stood as his breath creeped over my shoulder.

"Maybe I did~" he whispered, the smirk audible in his voice. He moved away, pulling up a seat next to me. "It's not like Daichi can do anything being oh so far away."

I gulped as I looked up at him, tears threatening to fall from my eyes. "..."

"Oh my god. Suga, I'm joking," he said, half laughing. I let out a small sigh of relief as he shook his head. "I would never do that to Hajime, or to Daichi, or to you. We may have been 'enemies' in high school, but we're past that now. We're going to be on the same team, which means no matter what history we had, we need to move on and work together for each other's benefit and our own. Plus, we know each other's playing styles pretty well, I think we'll make a great duo. Almost as great as Tobio-chan and his little side kick."

"Hinata is not his side kick," I smiled softly at the thought. "They're both equal parts who make each other better and you and I will never be as good as them, but I guess we can try." Oikawa smiled and put his hand on my shoulder.

"It'll be an interesting year, that's for sure."

After a few hours, we had both gotten settled and decided to head out for some dinner. You'd think that after high school, the girls would start to leave Oikawa alone, well, they didn't. At least 10 girls tried to talk to him on our way there, and boy did he know how to talk them up.

When we finally made it back to our place, I decided to try and have an actual conversation with Oikawa. There are three things I learned about him. The boy does not stop talking about aliens, he's not as cocky as I thought, and he really truly is in love with Iwaizumi. I hadn't realized that Oikawa was a genuine person until now. Maybe this year won't be so bad...

As we both got ready for bed, I looked over, noticing Oikawa's glasses. Don't get me wrong, I love Daichi and he's the most attractive person ever, but Oikawa in glasses? Wow. "I didn't know you wore glasses," I blurted out.

A small smile appeared on Oikawa's face as he looked up at me. "They make me look smart right? Hajime always said they make me look like a completely different person. I think he's just jealous that he can't look as good as I can with them on," he laughed softly. I walked over and sat next to Oikawa. On his desk was a picture of him and Iwaizumi at their graduation. Kuroo had taken that picture. We may not have been great friends, but we all supported each other. "I miss him... His stupid insults and jokes. My best friend..." I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"I know... We'll get through this though. Everything will work out."

(Sorry this took so long and it's so short and all over the place. Definitely not my best. I just need a little time to transition then everything will work out. Thanks for the support!- Katelynn)
