Introduction

Kat's P.O.V.

"Shawn come on. We have to go. We're going to be late for school," I yelled upstairs to my older brother.

"Hold on Kat I am finishing up my hair," He yells back.

"I am sure your hair looks fine. I mean you have no one to impress anyways," I laugh at the comment I just made making fun of him.

"Oh, shut up. I'm not the one who take 45 minutes in the bathroom every morning. You have no one to impress either so fight me."

I laugh "Okay, okay. You win."

He comes down stairs laughing while grabbing his book bag as were about to walk over to his car. "See I always win because I'm older," He says sticking his tonged out at me like he is a two year old.

We get into the car and start driving to school. I hate school but I don't act like I do to most people because I do really try unlike most people. I make good grades and teachers mostly like me. I'm not a teachers pet don't get me wrong but I guess I'm a likeable person at least that what Shawn and my friends say. I don't really have a lot of friends I'm not very popular. I mostly stick to the friends my brother has made we pretty much share all of our friends. I only have one friend that wasn't Shawn's friend before they were my friend. Her name is Kit. Kit is short for Katina. Shawn calls us Kit Kat sense my name is Kat. Which Kat is short for Katalina. We have been best bestfriends since we were in pre-k. She is the only girl friend I have besides my brothers friend Mahogany, although she goes by Lox.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by Shawn telling me that we are at school. I get out of the car and go to my locker. I met Kit at my locker at the beginning of the day. It is the first day of Sophomore year for her and I. It is the first day of Senior year for Shawn.

Kit shows up and "OMG, Kat I know we just saw each other last weekend but I missed you and just think this is our first day of sophomore year. Just think in two year we will be seniors and then in will be our last year."

"Kit, calm down I know. I have thought about this a million times. Trust me I have planned it all out. Shawn and I have talked about this a thousand times Shawn and I count down the time we have left together until he goes of to collage."

"I am so jealous of how close you and Shawn are. I mean to be honest you guys are brother sister goals. Since I don't have a brother or sister I don't have relationship with anyone but you and Shawn do. I mean Aaliyah is close with you guys too, but you and Shawn are closer I guess it's just because you are closer in age and when you were born Shawn was an only child at the time and you were all he had. Then when Aaliyah came along you were already 3 and Shawn was 5 so you already had each other. I know Aaliyah is a big part of you guys lives now but think about it 10 years ago you just looked to Shawn for everything and you didn't really look at Aaliyah like that even though she was born and you did love her. She was nowhere near as big as Shawn was to you."

"Yeah, you're right I guess I have never really though of it like that. I mean you're right I do love Aaliyah but I have always been with Shawn. It has always been us ever sense I was born. Shawn took me in easily but when Aaliyah came along when didn't want her as much because we already had each other. I feel bad now realizing I have really been leaving her out most of her life."

"I didn't say that to make you feel bad Kat I said that because I am jealous of you and Shawn's brother sister relationship. I just wish I had what you had. I really want that."

"I am your sister don't ever forget that. I mean I have been there for you through everything. I have always been there for you. How many times have your parents fought and my family has took you in and let you stay with us for weeks even months at a time. Shawn even said sometimes he forgets that your not his sister your around so much. How many times has he taken up for you when you were being picked on and bullied."

"I know I love you and Shawn so much I really do look as you guys as my own brother and sister. I am glad that you and Shawn always have my back."

"And we always will, I promise you Kit that we will have your back until the day we die."

The bell rings and we have to go on to our first class. I didn't even get a chance to look and see what her schedule is. "Hey Kit before you go what is your schedule?"

She hands me here schedule and we only have on class together and lunch. We have 3rd period. "It looks like we have 3rd together. Well I guess I will see you then."

"Well we have lunch together so I will see you at lunch and then we have 3rd. Bye Kit see you later." I rush off to class before the bell rings again meaning I'm late.
