...A manx, the hind legs tied to some sort of wheelchair thingy for cats.
He was backed up into a corner, visibly shaking.

I immediately wanted to just pick him up and cuddle with him until he wasn't scared anymore.
I crouched down.

"Aww, you poor thing. Come here, I won't hurt you. It's okay, baby. It's okay." I cooed softly, holding my hands out as I smiled.
He cowered a bit more at first, but relaxed slightly as he realized I was staying still, waiting for him to come over instead of me approaching him.
He carefully came over, and I gently picked him up, hugging him.

"There now, baby. You don't have be scared. I won't ever hurt you." I said while petting him gently, my voice soft, barely above a whisper.
I heard a faint purring start, and it made me smile.

"See? It's not so bad, is it?" I asked, and he looked up at me with chocolate brown eyes.

You know when you pick a kitten? When you fall in love with that one that you can't leave without?
That's how I felt.
I fell in love with those adorable eyes.
I was taking him home.
There was no questioning it.
I had to.

I went over to where Louise was, and giggled.

"Louise, I found him! Can I take him home? My apartment is so empty!" I called to her, and she looked over, doing a thumbs up for me.
I went out, and  picked out a green collar for him, slipping onto his neck.
"There, now we can go." I said, and was about to leave with him when I saw a paper on the counter.

I went over to look at it, and saw it was a letter.
I quickly looked though it.

"Hmm... Is you're name by any chance Tavros, little guy?" I asked the cat, who started mewing.
I giggled.
"I'll take that as a yes. Now, let's see what they say." I said, looking at the letter again.
He did too, putting a paw on it.

It said he liked Disney movies, Peter Pan being his favorite.
I giggled.

"Good thing I have Peter Pan at home. We can watch it tonight, Tavvie." I said and he started mewing happily.
I giggled, and couldn't help but hug him, squealing as I did.
"You're just sooooo CUUUUTE!" I squealed, making him go quiet.

As I looked to see why, I could see a faint brown beneath the fur.

Was it a blush?
I didn't know cats could blush.
But at least I got to know that he understood me.

I hugged him tightly again, and left, not checking any more of the letter.

"Let's go home, Tavvie." I said, smiling.

As we got to my apartment, I put him down, letting him go on his own.
He seemed nervous.

"Go on, Tav. It's your home too, now. Take a look around." I encouraged him, and he went to do so.

I giggled at the sight of the happy, crippled cat darting into the apartment on his own adventure to get to know his new home.
I went to the living room after dropping off my things in my room, popping in the Peter Pan DVD in the player, starting it.

"Tavvie! Movie time!" I called out, lying down on the couch, facing the TV.
Tav ran over, and I picked him up, letting him lie next to me so I could cuddle with him.

~~~~
A few weeks passed, and I got a job.
"Tavvie, I'm home!" I called out as I entered, taking off my shoes and jacket.
I heard wheels and paws coming closer, and the crippled cat soon came into view, mewing a few times in joy of my return.
I giggled, picking him up to hug him, and he stroked against my face as he purred.
"I missed you too, Tav. I wish I didn't have to work." I said, placing a light kiss on his forehead.
He shut up, and I looked at him.
Blushing, again.
"Love ya, Tavvie." I said, putting him down.
"I'm gonna take a shower, so be a good boy, okay?" I told him, and he mewed quietly.
I giggled, going to the bathroom, and quickly got into the shower.
I froze as I heard a crash outside, only about 30 minutes later, and I turned off the water at once.
A groan of pain sounded from outside, and I quickly dried off, getting dressed before going out.
A short bit away, a male troll with bull horns and a fluffy mohawk was lying on the floor.
He rubbed his head.
"Oww..." I could hear him mumble.
He had pants on, but no shirt.
"U-um... Who-who are you?" I asked.
He tensed up a bit, and pushed his upper body off of the floor.
I could tell by how thin the muscles on his legs seemed, that he was unable to use them.
He turned his head to me, his eyes wide.
The chocolate brown color struck a cord in me.
I saw the green collar around his neck, and gasped.
"You... You can't be... Tavros?" I asked.
He gulped, looking away from me.
"I, uhh... Kinda am." he said.
I could tell he was insecure.
"But... But how is this... How is it even possible?" I asked, my eyes wide.
"I'm not, uhh, completely sure, uhh, myself... I was turned into, uhh, a cat... And now, uhh, I'm myself." he said.
I relaxed, and came over, kneeling.
"Did you hurt yourself? You were rubbing your head just a short while ago." I said, and his cheeks turned brown as he looked into my eyes, before looking away.
"I, uhh, think I hit it." he mumbled, avoiding to look at me.
"Aww, here, let me see." I said, raising myself a bit to look at his head.
I didn't think about where my chest ended up being, until I sat back down, only to see his face much darker brown than before.
"Tav? Are you okay?" I asked.
He blinked a few times, but said nothing.
He was staring at nothing.
Then, he looked at me.
Before I could think, a small peck had peen placed on my lips, before he pulled back only a second later.
It was my turn to blush.
"...flushed for you..." I could barely hear him mumble.
Wasn't "flushed" the same as love?
It made my blush darker.
I smiled, before placing a kiss on his lips.
"Love you too, Tavros."
