Warm currents of gratitude keep me buoyantMoving
Towards an unknown destination
Without map sextant or first mateAdrift with treasure
I am guided by the constellations, wind and birds. Some days
Freesia scented trade winds swell the
lace living room curtainBringing a sweet fragrant Wonder the colour of cornflower blue.
I see it in a smile from daughter, in the Jasmine trialling along the gray pailing fence.
I hear it in a tender nocturne played by son on the piano.
I remember it in the old yellowing dreams creased at the bottom of a trunk on this balsa wood raft I call Home.
