I damn near drove like a madman as we crossed over the territory boundary, closer to our mate.
"What do you think he wants to talk about?" Linus asked as he rested his hand on my thigh, trying to calm me down. "I don't know, and frankly I don't care, I just want to get our mate back to where he belongs, with us" I answered tersely as I kept my eyes on the road, slowing down slightly when the Packhouse came into view.
As soon as we parked, we were greeted by the Alpha we had spoken with, but I was in no mood to deal with him. "Where is our mate" I growled as I tried to go past him.
"He's safe, he is talking with my mates. But we need to talk as well" he answered, a slight growl laced his words.
"Your mates sadly wasn't raised completely around werewolves for very long and did not know what a mating bite is, it could explain why his wolf felt the need to run when you hit him. No mate would run, usually they would stay and try to figure out what they did to warrant getting hit" he stopped staring directly at Leo "But his wolf was unsure, and that is due to him not marking you. Also, it is recommended that you mark him as well, it strengthens the mate bond between all of you, although I do understand that it is not commonplace with cats shifters" he explained, allowing me to process the information.
What he said was true, and us being tiger shifters, meant that we didn't understand wolf mating customs. "We want to see him" Linus spoke up, to which Daniel turned and led us into the house. The scent of our mate hit us instantly, rousing ours already on edge tigers. But the sound of his soft voice and children giggling caught us off guard, without another word we were led into a living room where my mate sat on a couch along with two other wolves and two small children.
I growled loudly, those wolves were too close for my liking, and it didn't help that Rylan was wearing their clothes, judging by the scent they gave off. I instantly pulled Rylan into my arms, ignoring the way he tried to resist my grip.
That was until Linus pulled him away from me, where Rylan finally settled down, my chest burned at the fact that he did not want my touch. But after what I had done, and plus the fact I had yet to apologize led me to understand that I deserved.
"Thank you, Alpha Daniel, for taking care of our mate in our absence, we will be on our way now" I spoke as I turned to Daniel, shaking his hand and walking out after Linus. Rylan had his face buried in Linus' neck, blocking me from seeing his beautiful face, the very face I had marred with a bruise not too long ago. My tiger was longing to lick the wound, knowing that our saliva would heal him.
As soon as we got into the car, I told Linus to drive as I got in the backseat, pulling Rylan in along with me, but he refused to look up at me. "Rylan, look at me baby, I want to talk to you" I directed softly, almost sighing in relief when his verdant eyes met mine. That relief was short lived when my gaze snagged on the angry bruise that covered the right side of his face.
"Rylan I don't even know where to begin, I'm so sorry. I know that will ever be good enough, but I need to make sure you know how remorseful I am. What I did is inexcusable, and you know it. Please forgive me, and give me a chance to make it up to you for the rest of your life" I pleaded as his expressive eyes filled with tears.
"I forgive you," he said in a small voice after a tense pause to which I eagerly responded by pulling him into my lap and tilting his head to the size. Gently licking the wound on his face, loving it when he gave a soft moan at the feelings that accompanied my tongue on his skin. I continued licking, even after the bruise had disappeared and Linus had answered a phone call.
All that mattered now was caring for Rylan, and making it up to him in any way possible.
"Leo, snap out of it, that was the pack doctor, they said that the surgery was a success and that dad is going to wake up soon" he announced while I nuzzled Rylan, who was currently squirming from the arousal that I created.
