I'm greeted at the door by Jason. He wraps his arms around my waist, grabbing my butt, pulling me into his chest, and presses his lips to mine. I giggle against into his mouth.
"Hi, sexy," he leans his forehead against mine.
I peck his lips before pulling away. "Hey, baby. Where's Leigh?" I ask as he laces out fingers together.
"She is sitting in the living room," he kisses my cheek. "How's the babies?"
"My back is killing me today and Jasper thinks he's Kinsley's new boyfriend," I inform him as Kinsley carries Jasper in the door.
I reach out to take him from her. We walk into the living room to see my sister sitting on the couch. When she sees us, she stands up quickly.
"You have a beautiful home," her voice comes out soft. "Thank you for letting me stay here."
I smile genuinely. "You're welcome, it's a pleasure to have you here. Jason will grab your bags as I show you upstairs," I set my son down.
He follows us up the stairs. "I'm sorry to intrude. Jason had explained you're expecting twins and it's very stressful right now. Congratulations, by the way," she touches my shoulder gently.
"Thank you," I rub my growing belly. I open the door to the last room we have available besides what's going to be the nursery. "This is your room," I say to her. "It's kind of plain right now, but as time goes on we can make it to fit your style."
She grins, "I love it, Nezther."
Jason and Jasper come in, Jason setting the bags down. "We'll leave you to get settled, I'm going to go start dinner. Jasper, come on," Jason ushers our son out of the room.
"I assume there are rules?" Leigh asks as she sits on the bed.
I nod, "yes. But we don't have to talk about those now. We can get you settled first."
As I help her unpack her only bag, I note to myself I must take her shopping. She tells me about herself, how she was raised, and why she's who she is now. I must admit, I already love this girl to the moon and back.
"Thank you for dinner, Jason. I've never had a home cooked meal before," Leigh places her dishes in the sink.
Jace rubs my thigh, leaning his head on my shoulder. "Well, get used to it, Leigh. One of us always makes dinner in this house," he smiles.
"Unless it's date night. Then we order pizza or something for Kinsley and Jasper- and now you," I add.
As always, we go into the living room after the kitchen is all cleaned up. I sit on Jason's lap with Jasper next to us. Kinsley went to bed already.
"Rules," Jason starts, "they're fairly simple. Bedtime is at 9:30, we don't expect you to go to sleep at that time, but to be in your room watching a movie and relaxing. We will get you a cell phone within the next week, but we will take that at ten o'clock to make sure you get enough sleep at night."
Leigh nods, understanding everything so far. "I will enroll you in school in two weeks. Jason and I have talked and we want to give you sometime to settle in before the stress of school starts." She nods again. "If you need anything, we are always here to talk to. And if we aren't, Kinsley is and she knows everything already so just ask her."
"I have something to tell you," she plays with her fingers.
"I actually have a couple. I got my GED already, I don't need to go back to school. I went to this program called WEMOCO back in New York City. It licenses you to get a certain degree without going to college," she informs us.
Jason tightens his arms around my waist. "And what did you go for?" He asks softly.
"Child and family development. So if you guys need any help with the children, I'm here. I also have a job interview on Friday at Little Dreamers Early Childhood," she smiles brightly.
"Wow," Jason and I say at the same time.
"So do I have a curfew?"
"Be home by nine, please," I snuggle into my fiancé.
"Okay, may i go take a shower?"
We both nod, looking at one another. "Gimme a kiss," Jason whispers. I lean down, pressing my lips to his. He lets a small moan emit into my mouth. "I love you," he pulls away slightly.
I caress his face gently. "I love you too, baby," I kiss his nose.
Jasper leans against Jason's arm. "I's go play in my play room?" He asks quietly.
Jason nods, "sure, dude. Come get us if you need anything." We watch our son run out of the room. "Where were we?" I press my lips to his again. He turns me so I'm straddling him. "Wait," he pulls away. "I want to say something real quick," he rubs the sides of my waist.
I set my hands on his shoulders, playing with the collar of his shirt. "Okay, babe," I mumble.
He pushes my hair behind my shoulder to expose my neck. "I want to start planning this wedding soon, baby. I love you and I want that to be official, I want it to be legal- on a document- saying that my love is real. I'm so in love with you, Nezther. Even more than I was an hour ago. You're so enticing and I just- I can't. I love you. I don't know how put it any other way," he rambles. "I don't even know what I'm trying to say right now. My head is so fucked up right now. I'm trying to say I need you."
I run my fingers through his hair. "Need me how, babe?" I stare into his eyes as tears glaze over them.
"I need- I don't know," he looks down.
"I know what you mean," I frown. I kiss his head. "You're okay, baby. Let it out," I whisper. He tucks his head into my neck, letting the silent tears go. "It's okay," I hold him tightly. He holds my waist tightly, not making a sound. I feel his hot tears against my chest. "You want to stay in bed tomorrow? I can call in sick to work," I offer.
He nods, finally allowing a sob to escape his mouth. "I need you," he cries, "I can't live with my head anymore."
I wrap my arms around his neck. "There's too much going on up there, huh?" I furrow my eyebrows in sorrow. He nods again. "I'm sorry, baby. Why didn't you tell me sooner? I would have helped you and you wouldn't be so sad right now," I sigh.
"I-I don't wa-want to say I-I'm depressed."
"Because then that makes it real."
