Sunday. 11:36 AM.

The doorbell rang, causing me to jump slightly, the fork in my hand dropping to the metal pan on the stove. I sneered, quickly picking it up as I turned down the temperature on the appliance, not wanting the cheese eggs to burn. Fork in hand, I jogged over to the foyer.

Not only was everyone else in the house still sleeping, but I wasn't exactly sure who'd be at my house this early. When I finally opened the front door, I smiled as my eyes landed on the familiar figure I had known for what seems like forever.

"Hey, what's good, bro?" I greeted as he walked into the house.

Dre nodded, rubbing the back of his neck. "Tired as a bitch," he sighed. "I was up all night and -" He sniffed loudly a few times, narrowing his eyes at my face, then his gaze drifted to my hand. "You cookin'?"

I chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, I'm making some cheese eggs. You hungry?"

Dre cocked his head to the side. "I can always eat," he said smirking. I shook my head, chuckling, as I led the way into the kitchen. He followed close behind.

The kitchen was fairly normal sized; I didn't cook much unless it was an easy meal. Slim cooked every now and then, but other than that, the kitchen was usually used for the easy appliances, like the microwave and toaster.

"Where's Slim at?" Dre asked sitting down on one of the stools, resting his elbows on the granite kitchen isle.

I shrugged. "Probably in bed with Lauren still," I said, turning my attention back to the eggs still in the pan. I turned up the temperature on the stove and grabbed some more ingredients out of the fridge.

Dre chuckled. "Can't blame him." He paused for a moment, looking around. "Where's Niykee?"

I glanced back at him as I cracked a few more eggs into a bowl. "Sleeping still."

I would've been too if it weren't for the fact my phone had been blown up continuously this morning making it almost impossible to get some shut eye. At first, I tried to ignore the messages, but it got harder as the daylight had continued to shine through my curtains. Sleep wasn't a usual friend of mine any way.

"Damn, so I'm early for the meeting, huh?" Dre groaned. "I coulda slept longer, man."

Slim had suggested for Niykee and Lauren to hit up Dre while in Cleveland to go over some ideas for the tour they were beginning to plan; I thought it was a smart idea. Dre knew his shit when it came to tour managing. I wouldn't have done half the tours I had without his help.

I shrugged, chuckling. "I thought you were coming by later," I shared, putting his eggs into the pan after switching mine to a plate. "You can nap on the couch if ya want." I began to eat mine as his eggs cooked.

He shrugged. "Maybe after I eat. So what's been new with y'all?" He asked. "I peeped those photos on TMZ." He got up from the stool, walking over to the fridge, and poured himself a glass of orange juice.

I stopped chewing, glancing over at him. "There aren't more pictures, are there?"

I avoided visiting the site, at least while Niykee was here; I didn't want to upset her but I was generally curious about what others were saying about us. The chemistry between us was there - and blatant - but never would I have thought photos of us would leak onto the internet or maybe I would've been less conspicuous.

He shook his head. "Not that I saw. They keep circulating them shits, though. They're dying to find out if you're settling down with her or not."

I took another bite of my eggs, rolling my eyes. I had never been one to follow the hype that online gossip sites held but it got harder once I became the subject of a few headlines. It first started a few years back when I started getting into a little trouble, thanks to someone selling my mugshot to the press, but I tried not to let it phase me. When Amber and I got together, shit got a little more hectic.
