When Shadows meet Storms

~~~ Storms POV ~~~

A sting of pain was left on my cheek. My feet were planted, shoulders squared, my tail hung low but it wasn't tucked.

I was defiant in the highest sense. My nose was but inches away from that bastard's. The Alpha, my father. He was tall and muscular. He always acted more of an unwanted uncle than a father. 

"DO YOU KNOW WHY THE HELL YOU'RE STILL HERE" His voice boomed into my ears and a sickening growl erupted from him. I couldn't let my fear show. I decided to play it tough and cool. Another slap echoed through the thick air.

"Yes, Father" I spat back at him, "I'm here because of you. But I deserve to run this pack." I picked my chin up higher, I was close enough to see the dark rage in his eyes. In a deep coarse voice I began, "You're old, weak, and crude. You're days are up old man. I am Alpha. You are nothing to my pack."

I smirked a bit but before I knew it; a huge fist came right at me then everything turned black.

I awoke with a jolt. My hands were tied behind my back and I was stripped bare. Just 2 feet away from me I saw a pile of soaked clothes and a knife. I looked around and noted the smell of Pine. Hm... I must be in PineWood forest. Isn't that just great... I scooted up against the nearest tree.

This had once been training for the pack. You always need to be prepared. I got my feet beneath me and stood up against the tree. Once I made my way over to the pile of sopping wet clothes I noticed a note :

Congratulations
You can go make your own pack
You are not welcome in my territory ever again
I hereby banish Storm Anne Howler.
If you are seen near my pack or in my territory, you will be punished.

I sawed off the ropes with the dull knife and threw on the freezing swearshirt. Folded the note into my pocket and started walking. Now I just need to find civilization ...
