Song: Far Away by Nickelback

Yugi's POV

It's been a month since my official ceremony and we have gotten a lot done. We have created more jobs for a wide variety of people and gotten a lot of criminals off the street. Many people have come up to the palace to thank me themselves for saving their families from poverty. That problem wasn't going to fully be fixed overnight. I am on my way to the healing chambers because Ishizu wanted to see me. I walk in and she bows her head to me. "My Pharaoh thank you for coming," she says. "Is there something you need Ishizu," I ask. "Yes there's somewhere I would like to take you to," she says.

"Alright, lets go," I say. We head out to the stables and the workers give me and Ishizu our horses. We head out towards the Valley of the Kings. Once there we stop in front of a tomb. "We're here my Pharaoh," she says and gets off her mare. We tie the horses to tree in the shade and go in. "What is this place," I ask. "It's your fathers tomb. There's something in here I saw with the necklace and I wanted you and I to see it in person," she says. We travel by the light of torches and come to a fork in the road. "Did your necklace see this," I ask. "Yes it did and we go right," she says and we go down the right tunnel into a room. The walls are covered in paintings and hieroglyphics.

"Please tell me you know how to read this cause I'm still not 100 percent on reading these," I say. "Yes I can and what they say is why I brought you here," she says and walks up to a painting and it looks vaguely familiar. Who is that? "That is the monster you fought in Memory World with the Pharaoh," she says. "No way Zorc," I say. "Yes and these tell of a prophecy," she says. "Wait I thought that by sending the Pharaoh to the Afterlife and destroying the fake items made it so he is trapped forever," I say. Did we both do all that for nothing? "These items are very capable of bringing him back to life. It's what they say that has me worried. It tells of things that haven't happened yet," she says. "Ishizu tell me. Did we  send Atem away too early," I say.

"I don't know Pharaoh. The pictures show someone who looks like you but then again you and Atem are so similar that I can imagine your paintings and carvings would be nearly identical," she says. "These show both a tan skinned me and a white skinned. One is Atem and the other me," I say. "Well the prophecy here states that Zorc will return and that the Pharaoh will have to put him away with the real Millennium Puzzle and items. If not then- Oh my," she says. "What," I ask. "The world will fall into an eternity of Darkness and shadows to never be pulled out of," she says. "So in short if this comes true, I can't fail," I say.

"What I'm trying to figure out is if this is going to involve Atem or not," she says studying the hieroglyphics. It shows pictures of him so I don't see why not, but I could be wrong. She takes out a camera and takes pictures of the walls. I then stop at one that shows both me and him and what looks like a gate between us. Ishizu comes up next to me. "Strange this one is merely just a picture. There's no text indicating what's going on here," she says. I wonder if Atem is going to be involved in this. "Well one things for sure, this looks like a gate between here and somewhere else. My guess is the afterlife as that's where he is right now," I say. "But the only gate got destroyed when Atem moved on," says Ishizu.

"Maybe we have to consider that that may not be the case," I say. "If it's real do you think he can come back," asks Ishizu. "Well he can't just do what he wants if he wants to come back. The Gods would have to approve of it to let him stay. If they don't, he wouldn't be here for very long," I say. She nods and takes more pictures. "Lets go Ishizu. We can think about this more and you can discuss this with your brother and see what he thinks. If you find anything new, report it to me immediately," I say and we head back to the palace. A lot is going through my mind. If Atem could come back, that'd change everything. I'd be able to truly hold him and touch him.

I dismiss Ishizu and go to my chambers after we get back and lay in bed. Tears come to my eyes. "Atem if you can hear me, I don't know what's going on but if you could come back would you? Apparently dealing away those items wasn't enough to seal Zorc away for good. I hate to think that all we did was for nothing, but isn't that what we worked for. To seal away Zorc and Shadow Magic," I say. I chuckle thinking that he must think I'm insane. "Being in your home makes me feel so close to you, yet when I remember where you are, you feel so far away," I say and more tears slip past my eyes. "I don't know if I can go through this life without you. I love you so much and knowing your gone hurts so much," I say and start crying.

I hear a knock and wipe my eyes. "Who is it," I ask. "Your Grandpa," says Grandpa through the door and I let him in. Once he's inside he shuts the door tight. "You've been thinking about him haven't you," says Grandpa who sits me next to him on the bed. I nod. He gives me a sad smile and hugs me. "He's proud of you. You know that. Look at you now. You've really grown as a Pharaoh in the last month," he says. "I know it's just something Ishizu showed me today that really made me think of him. We don't have enough for sure information to tell anybody about it really yet," I say. "Could it be bad," he asks. I nod at him. "Atem will help guide you Yugi. He may seem far away but he's right here," he says and places a hand to my heart. I hug my Grandpa. "Thanks," I say and he just hugs me.
