Johnny and I were sitting at the table with our drinks. People were dancing around us and I was starting to feel sad that no one wanted to dance with me. Then I saw all of the couples hug one another and I knew that it was a slow dance. I sighed and sipped my water. Then I saw Johnny looking at me and I sipped my water again. "What's wrong?" I shook my head and that's when he stood up and held his hand out to me. "I don't like dancing, but I'd love to have this dance with you." My heart raced in my chest and I looked at him. He was smiling a little and I sat down my water. I took his hand and he led me to the crowd of people. He put his hands on my waist and I put mine on his chest and leaned into him, letting my cheek rest on his shoulder. We started to move in tiny circles on the floor and as we moved he completely wrapped his arms around me. Johnny smelled of cigarette smoke and a good brand of Assassin Polo. I moved my hands up and wrapped them around his neck as we danced and God was it amazing. It was the first slow dance I had ever had with a guy, and it is one that I hope I never forget. Then we pulled away and I looked up at Johnny. He was smiling down at me and said, "I'm gonna go smoke." I nodded and said, "I'll go with you." We went outside and my heart was racing. Dear God, was I falling in love with Johnny?
