i wake up because a nurse shakes me lightly.
-hello joshua. she says calmly.
-uhm hi? i answer in a raspy voice.
-it's time to go home. she smiles. i look over at the couch to find it empty.
-where's tyler? i sit up a bit confused.
-he told me that he was going somewhere but if you woke up i was gonna tell you to call him.
-oh okay thank you.
-your clothes is over there. i'm gonna come back in two minutes. she points at a chair and walks out.
i put on my clothes quickly, worrying about if she comes back and see him in underwear or something, not because i'd care but it'd be awkward.

i walk out the building and scroll through my phone to find tyler's number.

-hello? tyler says in the other end.
-hi ty. the nurse told me you wanted me to call you?
-yep. uhm are you out of the hospital right now or?
-yes.
-okay i'm coming to pick you up. we're going for an adventure.
-okay i'm just gonna tell my mom then.
-no i've already told her. i can basically feel the smile from the other side.

the call ended and i stand there, all alone, waiting for tyler to come pick me up.

after 1o minutes -ish i can see tyler's car. but tyler is not in it. melanie is. i step into the car.
-hey mel. where is tyler? i asked suspiciously.
-he has a surprise for you. she smiles wide and starts driving.

after 1 hour of driving we stop at some random forest. melanie's car is there but other than that it feels pretty dead. it's beautiful and stuff though.
-come with me. she says and grabs my arm, we walk for like 10 minutes then i see a tent. i get super excited because i absolutely love camping, i haven't done it for awhile though.
we enter the tent and there lies tyler in a sleeping bag. he's playing on his phone or something.
-oh hi! he jumps up a little. he motions me to sit down beside him.
-i'm gonna go to the store now guys. melanie said and left.
-so why are you doing this? i ask curiously.
-well, your mom told me that you absolutely love camping, or you did when you were younger so i thought we would do that. he smiled.
-oh that's cute but we can just camp for like 1 day since we have school on monday. i reply softly.
-nope, we have a break next week. his grin is wider than ever.
-oh i totally forgot that. i laugh.
-so what did you think we were gonna do? i continue on.
-that's for you to see. he smiles like something big is gonna happen.
-whatever. i say and walk out of the tent to look around.

i walk around in the forest to see all the flowers and trees for awhile then tyler shouts my name. i run to him because of curiosity. there he's standing, in front of a fire.
-look what i made! he says, excitedly.
-nice! i say, trying to sound as excited as him but obviously fails. he smiles at me for awhile.
-okay popcorn boy.. it's time to make some popcorn, or what do you think? he smiles.
-yeeees! i almost scream.
tyler runs to the tent and comes back with a saucepan (a/n lmao google translate.) and a small plastic bag.
-okay i'm gonna hold this thingy over the fire and you put the popcorns in there. he says, excitedly. so i do as he says. the popcorns flies everywhere and some even burnt to the saucepan. tyler yanks away out of shock.
-what the fuck? he says.
-have you ever done popcorn like this tyler? i ask and furrow my eyebrows.
-uhm no.. he blushes and looks down at the ground.
-me neither so can we call melanie and ask her to buy us some instead? i laugh.
-yeah that's the best thing to do i think. tyler joins my laughter.

by the time melanie comes back with food and popcorn it's dark outside. so we sit by the fire and eat popcorn, tyler and melanie tries to hold the marshmallows over the fire but they've dropped them all so far.

-hey let's play like truth or dare. melanie suggest.
-sure. i say and look over at tyler who's nodding.
-okay so who starts? i ask
-i can. melanie says and smiles widely.
-so josh, truth or dare?
-dare. i ask without any hesitation.
-oh well that's easy. kiss tyler and let me take a pic. her smirk is wider than her face is.

tylers pov

josh comes towards me, we've kissed before, why am i so nervous right now i ask myself.
-okay i'm ready. melanie says with a phone in front of her face.
josh connects his lips with mine and god this feels just right. the kiss is short and even though it feels right it's a little bit awkward hearing the "clicks" from melanie's phone.

-okay now it's my turn. josh says excitedly.
-tyler, truth or dare? he looks at me with a fake suspicious expression on his face.

-okay umm.. did you ever cheat on jenna? the fake suspicious look is still on his face.
-well in fact i have. josh's eyes widened at the answer.
-dude with who? melanie asked, he expression is as shocked as josh's.

-tell us more! josh say, i don't know why but he seems very excited.
-well um i don't know what to say. i answer trying to not talk about it since i'm pretty embarrassed about it.
-how many? where? why? did jenna know? why did you stop? josh says, still excited as frick.
-well basically everyone. and everywhere. why? i don't know why i guess i liked putting my dick in things. jenna found out about a year ago and that's why i stopped. like she thought i had stopped when we got together.

-guys too? josh asks as his eyes widen.

-okay so shall we continue? i ask because of the awkward silence.

-truth. and give me a huge smile so that you can see the little gap between her teeth.
-what's the best memory you have with joshy? i ask curiously.
-oh that's hard. i think one of them is when i still lived back in LA and we were out in the woods in the middle of the night and we just sang a bunch of songs together, even though our voices were all raspy after that night it's a good memory. she seemed distant but smiled.
-why were you out in the woods in the middle of the night?
-i don't want to talk about that. josh says quickly.
-okay. i smile and put my hand on josh inner thigh.
-it's okay. he lays his head on my shoulder and yawn.
-i'm a little tired. can we go to sleep? he says.
-yeah you two can i'm gonna watch the fire until it ends burning ya know. i smile.
-okay let's go mel. he says and walks slowly to the tent.
