Tomorrow was the start of this year’s winter break. Finally. I had already arranged a date for Zack and Sandra after the New Year. Their first date of the year, exciting! What was more exciting was the big Christmas party Finn decided to host tonight.
I arrived at Finn’s place at a quarter past 8. My mom apparently decided to spend Christmas with Harree, because she needed just a few more days to convince him to buy her things. The mansion was covered in a thin layer of snow and frost. I heard loud music from inside of the crowded mansion.
I knocked on the door and Finn answered. He was wearing jeans, a T-shirt and his sexy leather jacket. “Hey, come on in.” He said. As soon as I stepped inside, Finn slipped his arm around my waist. “Tyler and Sandra are in the back,” he informed me.
The living room and all the other rooms, for that matter—were in total chaos. There were people everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE—under the couch, sitting on the tables, making out in the hallways..... Finn had only invited his supernatural friends- except for me and Sandra—and let me tell you, he had A LOT of friends.
We walked around the angels and demons lying on the floor, drunk, and made our way to the back. Behind the wooden staircase and around the corner, there were another party room and a bar that lead to the back yard.
I spotted Zack at the bar, mixing up drinks for the guests while hitting on Sandra – who was sitting in front of Zack on a high stool. She was blushing, probably because of one of Zack’s jokes. Tyler sat with Sandra on another stool, he looked tired and bored, probably because he haven’t healed from the earlier fight. When he saw me, his face lit up, but his eyes looked away again when his saw Finn’s arm around my waist.
“I’m going to meet up with some friends, I’ll find you later.” Said Finn. He gave a quick kiss on the cheek and headed back to the living room.
I sauntered over to Sandra and Tyler, who looked a bit jealous.
“Hey” I said.
“Hey,” replied Tyler with a weak smile.
“Bianca!” Sandra spun around in her stool and greeted me with a bear hug. “OMG! You came! Guess what?” she asked excitedly.
“I think the bartender likes me!”
I glanced at Zack, who had lost quite a bit of weight since I saw him, which was only 5 days ago. I guess he used some kind of supernatural tool. Now, Zack is actually pretty good-looking, not to compare to Finn or Tyler.
“Hey, Bianca,” said Tyler while nudging my arm to get my attention, “Can I talk to you for a second?”
“Sure.” I answered.
Tyler stood up, grabbed my arm lightly and dragged me outside to a quiet corner in the back garden.
“What do you want to talk about?” I asked, “Is everything okay?”
Tyler ran a hand through his brown hair, “About the other day...” Tyler trailed off, trying to find the right words.
“Yeah?” I nodded understandingly.
“Did you two... Um...?” Tyler asked, shifting his weight from one foot to the other nervously.
“No, No, No, NO WAY!” I yelled when I figured out what he meant.
Tyler breathed a sigh of relief. “Wait, are you two together then?”
I furrowed my eyebrows and thought for a while, was I dating Finn?
