~Two Year Later~
"Good morning, Alpha." Lance says once I come down stairs. I roll my eyes at him. "Lance, call me Alpha one more time and you'll get hurt. We're in privacy, you can call me Aubrey." I tell him seriously. "Sorry, Aubrey." Lance replies with a small smile. "How are you?"
"I am alright, Lance. How are you?" I question, walking into the kitchen. "I am alright." Lance says, then goes silent.
Lance and I have been friends for about two years now. He was my first friend since I first went rouge. In fact, he was the first person I talked to since my encounter with Alexander.
"Lance, you and I have been friends long enough that I know when somethings up. So what's up?" I ask, turning around to face him. "It's about another pack. I'll talk to you about it once we go into the office this morning." Lance replies, not looking like himself. I am not going to push it, so I simply nod.
I walk out on the porch with a banana in my hand. I stare out to my land. I became Alpha about six months after going rouge. Lance was actually the person to convince me to start a pack. Saying I have enough power in me that I can start a pack. So whenever a rouge came I would talk to him or her. He or she would agree to a month trial to see if joining my pack is something that they would want to do. Everyone so far, has in fact stayed. I got trained to fight by Lance who is now not only Beta, but head trainer. We are a fierce pack, yet kind. We are feared and respected upon. We're located by an abandoned beach here in Finland. My pack has miles and miles to run. Honestly, it's perfect.
At first, we were broken. All of us, broken from either rejection, war, and other things. We heal each other in this pack. I was healing by running this pack. It's perfect. Rejection hurt, but physical pain hurts worse. I've broken every bone in my body learning how to fight. Thank the Moon Goddess for quick healing. I haven't heard from anyone in my pack for over two years, and that's fine with me.
"I was checking my emails late last night and I got an email addressed to 'Alpha A'." Lance says coming into my office. "Okay." I say, waiting for him to continue. I decided to go by 'Alpha A' so no one judges our pack being lead by a female. Lance is the face of the pack for outsiders. Unless you have joined our pack, no one knows Dark Moon Pack's Alpha is a female. At this point, we are so respected, I don't think it would matter much.
"Anyways, it was from Alpha Alexander from the Red River Pack." Lance says slowly and unsure. "That's my old pack." I say stiffly. Lance nods once. "What did the email indicate?" I question, suddenly feeling anxious as to why Red River Pack would email. When I left, we were a good strong pack. Respected as we were feared. Had good fighters.
"I'll read it as it says.
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Alpha Alexander of the Red River Pack. We were once a strong pack, fierce, respected, and feared. Before I took over, I made a terrible mistake, one that I regret to this day. When I made the mistake that I made, I had no idea how much of an impact it would make on me being an Alpha. Due to my mistake, my Beta and I don't see eye to eye on most things. My pack and myself are falling apart. My once great warriors no longer fight. Our guards, no longer guard. We are barely getting by.
Myself as well as many others in my pack have heard of your reputation as well as your packs reputation. I am asking you if you could train us to to fight. To teach us. To help us get back to the once great state we were in. Please get back to me as quickly as possible.
Alpha Alexander Ashmore of the Red River Pack
"Done." Lance says, looking up at me.
"I am not going to deny Alpha Alexander just because of our past history together. That's not fair to the ones who still live in it, such as my parents and brother. Email him back saying that we'll be there in two days time. You and I will go and train Red River. Between the two of us we can train the pack. Dark Moon will be fine for the time that we're gone. Danny will be in charge. I'll call a meeting at noon and you and I will leave tonight." I say to him, before I give my answer a second thought.
