We lay in bed, Jays' arm around me and resting on my belly.
"What happened?" I asked quietly.
Jay sighed and turned me to face him.
"I basically told her the same as you Mia. When I left, there was absolutely no way she could mistake the way I feel about you."
"And the way you feel about her?"
"Does she know how you feel about her?"
"She knows I feel nothing for her Mia."
He pulled my body against his and I rested my head on his chest. "L
"She knows babe."
I nodded and my fingers traced the lines of his tattoo, soothing me as it always did.
"Look at me."
I looked up to meet his eyes.
"I love you. You Mia and in a couple of weeks, when you and our little one walk up that aisle, I'm going to be the happiest man on earth."
"Shit." I mumbled as I wiped at my tears. "Damn hormones."
"I wouldn't curse them too much babe, remember when..."
I buried my head in his chest to hide my embarrassment and he laughed as his fingers trailed down my spine.
I returned to the lingerie store a few days later determined to put the scene with Sam behind me.
I turned and smiled.
"Hi, it's good to see you. Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, it's all good now. Thank you for your help and I'm sorry I caused such a scene, I'm honestly not like that normally."
I knew I was blushing again.
She smiled and waved her hand dismissively.
"From where I was standing, she deserved it."
"Can I help you choose something?" She asked, indicating the many racks of lingerie.
She knew her stuff and within an hour I had everything I needed.
"I'm about due for lunch, do you want to grab a coffee?" She asked hopefully and smiled when I nodded.
"So, who was that sexy man? The other sexy man." She clarified and I smiled when I remembered Cams words.
"That's Jays best friend, Cam."
"He's more than Jays best friend Mia."
I raised an eyebrow and she continued.
"He obviously cares a great deal for you too honey."
"Cam's great, he really is. I guess he's kind of taken me under his wing."
"Two hot men looking out for you. Damn, you're lucky." She laughed.
We chatted away through lunch and I genuinely enjoyed her company, she didn't ask anything about Sam and I didn't tell her. It was done. Over.
"I had lunch with Janet today." I said conversationally when I put beers in front of Jay and Cam.
Jay couldn't place her, but Cam sure did.
"The hottie from the shop?"
