Chapter Two- Cloned

I heard my alarm clock go off and I unplugged in. I groaned loudly and flipped my covers over my bed. I had another nightmare last night and after I woke up at two in the morning I was afraid to go back to sleep. Xavier was sleeping at the end of my bed and I smiled as the memories came flooding in, I'm glad to have him. He's so cute and adorable. Yesterday I took him to get registered along with his tags. He was ecstatic he didn't stay still. He was always running around barking and playing with the other dogs that were much bigger than him.

I grabbed my toiletries and clothes and headed to the bathroom across the hall. The scolding hot water was refreshing. It relaxed my muscles and eased my mind. Once I was done washing my body and hair I quickly dried myself off and blow dried and flat ironed my hair. I put on a Pink skinny strap cami with floral oriental print that stopped a inch below my belly button , teal shorts rolled up to my mid thigh and to finish it off tan sandals -to match the main color of my top - with diamante stones encrusted on the strap.

I looked myself up and down in the mirror, maybe I should just put it in a bun. It's supposed to be ninety degrees any. I sloppily braided my hair and wrapped it into a bun to give my bun an bumpy look to it and a few strands were hanging out. I smiled approvingly and brushed my teeth.

"Iris hurry up! Xavier needs to be walked!" My dad yelled from down stairs. Probably stuffing his face from the left over spaghetti I made last night.

"Ok!" I replied back. I hurried out of the bathroom grabbed my phone, book bag and keys. Then ran downstairs to find dad in the kitchen scarfing down the last of the left overs as I predicted.

"I'm glad you like my spaghetti." I said sarcastically.

"Always! You make the best spaghetti." He exclaimed with his mouth full. I cringed from the sight.

"Ew dad, as attractive as ever I see." Sarcasm is just rolling off me today.

"Ha-ha now go walk your dog." He pointed to little Xavier and he was scratching at the door. Poor thing. I saluted to my dad.

"Sir yes sir!" I grabbed his leash and quickly walked him. He did his business and I put him in his cage promising to be back after school.

Here I am sitting alone at lunch as usual. I was fiddling with my charm bracelet my mom gave to me after before I watched her die.

:"Franky you want to go to the park?" My mommy asked me and I nodded my head excitedly.

"Yeah mommy let's go!" I grabbed my coat and put my shoes on.

"Mommy can you help me tie my shoes?" I asked ashamed.

"I'm three years old. I'm almost a big girl and I can't even tie my own shoes." I whispered.

"Franky look at me." I kept my face to the ground.

"Iris Francesca Whipple, look at me right now." She sternly demanded. I reluctantly looked into her beautiful blue eyes.

"You will know soon enough baby girl, don't be so hard on yourself. I started tying my own shoes when I was seven." She said in a hushed tone and my eyes nearly popped out of my head.

"What?"

"Yeah, I was a late bloomer. Why don't you try tying your shoes on your own, and sing the song I taught you." I nodded and got down on one knee and started singing the song.

"First you take the two ribbons and make them into loops. Then you take one and wrap it around the other, and pull!" I did it I tied my shoes.!
