Her father notices my surprised expression, "If they didn't go to university for business, who would take care of our business once we get old?"
The Parks own a line of night clubs, or at least that's what I remember.
"Carter! Don't be rude, come and re-meet her!" Hal calls to her brother.
Carter drags himself over with a glum face. He extends his hand out to me and we gratefully shake. His eyes land on mines for the second time. His eyes have the blue/green effect and the lights of the bar are reflecting, making a little glossy effect.
"Nice to meet you," I smile and look at our connected hands.
"You too," Carter smiles back reluctantly.
I let go of his hand and look over to Drew, who is standing quietly, "Carter, this my boyfriend, Drew."
They quickly shake too, but not exchanging any words.
Carter turns to me, "I remember when you were six. You and Hal both wanted to marry knights in shining armour and become princesses."
"I guess that dream has come to reality... well except for the marrying part," I give Drew a loving look and he grips onto my hand, smiling.
"Sorry to break up your little party here, but we've all got a job to do," Hal's father says.
Hal groans, "We just reunited today! Can't I have a bit of time with my former best friend?" She takes a little sip from her drink.
"Young lady! You have a job to do! Besides, former best friends count for nothing," he scoffs at his daughter.
"Excuse me?" Hal and I both say in a defensive tone.
Drew tugs on my hand towards the door, "These people have a job to do, let's go."
"Yes! Listen to the boy!" Mr. Parks exclaims.
I give the Parks a little wave before letting Drew drag me out of the club.
"Was Hallie as drunk when she was younger?" he asks in a teasing tone.
"Not from what I remember," I say looking up at the single star in the dark sky.
We stand there, enjoying each other's prescence. Drew plays with my fingers as I continue to stare up at the star.
That single star reminds me of me. I'm very independent and I can't light up a whole room with my light. The star is barely making a dent of light in the sky. With the moon's help, the star looks beautiful. With Drew's help, I look beautiful.
"You must be so tired," Drew says as we get into my car.
I smile, "I'm actually not. Very hyper."
Drew smirks, "On our first date, you agreed to be my girlfriend. On our second date, you reunite with a childhood friend and you could never looked happier. We are really weird."
"I think it's just you that's weird," I tell him.
He gives a playful nudge, "Weird is good."
I shrug, "Sometimes."
"All the time," he argues.
"Fine, most of the times. Happy?" I put on my seatbelt and start the car.
"Very happy," he smiles.
After a couple of minutes of silent driving, I ask, "How's your dad?"
"Very happy," he repeats himself from earlier.
"That's good. I'm glad I could help your family," I say proudly.
He looks at me with admiration, "Did I ever mention that my girlfriend is amazing?"
"Not once," my lips quirk up.
"We'll she is. You should meet her someday," he gives me a little teasing smile.
I chuckle, "You should meet my boyfriend. He's very nice."
Drew turns the radio onto a music channel.
When it's right, it's right,
And this is it,
Cause' I'm walking on air
Every single time that we kiss
"What song is this?" I ask Drew who is humming along.
He digs his phone out of his pocket and taps on it twice. He puts his phone towards the car speakers and waits.
After a beep, he takes his phone back and reads what has come onto the screen.
"I Promise You by Selena Gomez," he announces.
I make a sharp left turn before responding, "It's really nice, don't you think?"
"It speaks to us," he says thoughtfully.
I get what he means. The song is about the feelings of this girl who wants her boyfriend by her side because she loves him and he gives her butterflies. Exactly how I feel about Drew.
"I really does," I smile as I stop in front of Drew's uncle's house.
It's a small red-bricked house with a huge tree in the front yard.
"I wish you could stay with me," I grab Drew's hand as he is about to hop out of my car.
"If you look in your heart, Celeste," his green eyes shine in the moonlight, "I'll forever and always be with you."
His lips brush against my cheek before he walks out of the car. Just as he is walking up his porch, me turns and gives a smirk.
I smirk back, "I'll see you tomorrow!"
"I have to leave tomorrow! School is beginning earlier than expected!" he yells back.
My heart drops.
There's a reason people say long distance relationships don't work, but I will try my very best to keep me and Drew going.

A/N:
Finally the story has begun! I finally feel like I'm into the story. I know the people. I know the story. I have a little map of what is going to happen in the story in my mind, and trust me... this sequel is going to break your heart and put it back together just like FFTO did.

Question: What would you like to see to happen to Dreleste?
The song Drew and Celeste were talking about is an actual song. I have it in the multimedia section on your right! If you listen it throughout their conversation, it's way more effective.
I really like that song and the moment I heard it, I thought of Dreleste. Try listening to it and you'll see what I mean.
