Don't remind me
of my mistakes.
I don't need you
to help point out my flaws.
I do that well enough on my own.
Don't hate me for it,
I hate myself enough for the both of us.
Don't call me a liar
when I say I want to fix things
because I ask myself the same thing every night
and I've decided it's true.
Don't say things you don't mean,
because I do that enough to everyone else.
Don't think ill of me,
I do that enough for myself,
and I've done it much too often for you.
Don't say you're nothing to me,
because it's a lie.
Don't tell me you don't care
if you do.
If you care
so damn much
then do me a favor
and stop pointing out my problems.
I don't need you to hold up a magnifying glass to them.
Just help me fix myself
and I'll try to help you.
