Spencer was frustrated with her brothers. Then again, when was she not. But, right now, she was overly annoyed with them both.

How she got into this situation with two terrified teenage hostages hiding at the back of a liquor store while the cashier speaks to a Texas ranger was beyond her.

It was just suppose to be a pit stop. A simple pit stop.

"It's about time I could eat a horse," Richie Gecko says to his brother, Seth, as he sits down next to his older sister, Spencer Gecko, who just finished pulling her dark hair into a lazy bun.

After seated on the bench, Seth puts drinks in front of his siblings and asks, "Anything?"

"Just a beautiful morning in Texas," Richie replies making Spencer snort then reach into the bag of food. She pulls out five foil wrapped tacos, hands two to each of them and keeps one for herself.

"What is this?" Richie asks, looking into his taco to see the ingredients.

"Those are two chicken tacos," Seth says before taking a bite out of his taco. "What? It's what you ordered."

"No, I ordered chicken tinga. This is chicken mole. Not to mention, you put the pico de gallo on them. You do realize that mole is the sauce, right? You don't sauce the sauce, Seth. Unless you have no tastebuds or you fail to apply yourself." Spencer chuckles and puts a hand over her mouth as she chews her heavily sauced taco.

"He's absolutely right, Seth," Spencer agrees with her youngest brother after swallowing her food. Seth throws Spencer a look, telling her to be quiet.

"Well, you're eating it so," He retorts. "Besides, I'm just glad it's not beef jerky and squeeze cheese," He says appreciatively, remembering the gross cafeteria food they served in prison.

"Five years is a pretty long stretch." Seth nods in agreement. "What did you do with all that time, anyway?"

"You know, you gotta do the time or the time does you. So...told some stories, heard some stories, played dominoes," Seth refers to his time in the slammer, wiping his hands on his thighs.

"You had five years to improve yourself and you played dominoes. Is that why we-" Richard points his finger at himself and Spencer, "risked our asses to bust you out of that prison transfer. This is what I'm talking about, Seth. You fail to apply yourself. If it'd been me in there, I would've gotten a degree."

"Really?"

"Maybe in engineering."

"If it would've been you in there, you would've gotten shived on your first day on account of your piss-poor people skills," Seth responds.
