Love can hurt you bring you down,
Love can fight you til you frown
Love a quiet serpent ready to bite,
Just as wolves creep in the night
Love can poison the tip of your tongue,
The burn goes from your head to lungs,
Love bites, but I bite back, I fight back
Love bites, sharp as a tack, sharp as a tack
In the end is it real
A strong question we all will feel
Some can trick you bring you up
Make you happy, and fill the cup
Love can trick love can deceive,
Like the serpent between Adam and Eve,
The strongest poison, the greatest trick,
Love can hurt like the flame on a wick,
Love bites, but I bite back, I fight back,
Love bites, sharp as a tack, sharp as a tack
In the end is it real?
A strong question we all will feel
Always be wary, always be awake,
When you trust love, lots at stake,
Some are real, some are not,
Either way, it will leave spots
A part of life, a dream a curse,
A taking of emotion, or from the purse,
Take the risk, take the chance,
See how it goes, love can destroy or enhance
Love bites, but I bite back, I fight back.
Love bites, sharp as a tack, sharp as a tack
In the end is it real?
A strong question we all will feel
