Chapter one

"Your going to be late for your first day" mom yells from downstairs. I come downstairs wearing jeans and a cute crop top with the words 'don't judge' written across the middle, along with my favourite pair of converse and a leather jacket. I had my light brown, waist-length hair in soft curls.

"Bye mom" I say heading for the door.
"Wa-wait" she says hesitantly. I stop and stare at her, an impatient look spread across my face.
"Just remember not to get too close to anyone. Can you imagine what would happen if anyone found out about what happened back in-" She was soon cut off when I stalked out of the house, slamming the door behind me.

I stepped out of my flaming red Jeep, throwing my bag over my shoulder. No going back now I convince myself as I approached the double doors leading to Swanlake high. Flipping my long, brown hair over my shoulders I entered the tall building.

I wait in line at the office to collect my schedule and start walking to first period. I stop in the middle of the school corridors to retrieve my schedule from my bag, for what felt like the hundredth time and read that I was in Math 67B with Mr Thompson.

I was so absorbed in the map of the school I was given that when I turned a corner I all of a sudden collided with something extremely tough and of course fall straight to the floor.

"Oh shit" I hear a deep voice mutter from above me. In a matter of seconds I see a large hand reach out in front of my face. I take the hand that was offered to me and he uses his strength to pull me from off the ground. I take in his appearance finally getting a chance to look at him properly.

He had deep, ocean blue eyes which were now filled with concern and messy, dirty blonde hair. He was dressed in a casual pair of blue jeans and a football jersey. I guess he must be the stereotypical jock of the school. He also had a jawline every girl in the school probably drools over.

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean to walk into you, but I guess I was kinda distracted" he admits gesturing towards his phone. I chuckled and replied "that's ok. I guess I was kinda distracted as well" I say pointing to my school map. "Are you new here?" He asks, raising his eyebrows. "Am I that obvious" I ask. "Well are you lost?" He questions."no I just love carrying maps of the school around for the fun of it" I mock, rolling my eyes.

We arrive outside my class and we say our goodbyes and that's when I start to think to myself 'damn it's going to be hard not being able to get close to anyone'.

A/N
This is my first story so don't judge because I tried my best, even though it probably sucks.
I would like to thank my friend Inaya for pushing me to write this, giving me amazing ideas and for being an amazing friend. I would also like to thank both my friends Maisie and Inaya for inspiring me since they are the most amazing writers I know. I'm so lucky to have them in my life! I hope you all enjoyed, until next time...
