Part Forty Five
"Jess?! Babe where are you? I'm going to head off," Aston shouted as he came up the stairs.
"I'm in the spare room!" I just about managed to shout back.
"Hey, I'm about to head off so I'll see you-" He stopped himself as he pushed open the door and saw me.
"What the hell am I meant to do with all this now?" I sighed, as one of the tears threatening to fall, fell down my face.
"Babe," Aston sighed, coming in and sitting down next to me.
"Just leave this room until you're fully okay with everything and then sort it out, there's no rush." He said, putting his arm around my shoulder and rubbing it with his thumb slightly.
"I don't think I'll ever be okay with this." I cried, leaning into his chest.
Aston just sat there and cuddled me as I cried into his chest for a good couple of minutes until I'd calmed down a bit then he piped up.
"Ha, I remember buying this." He chuckled, picking up the babygrow.
"It's one of my favourites." I smiled, wiping my eyes.
"Oh yeah?" He smiled, looking down at me, still rubbing his hand up and down my arm.
"Yeah, along with this one." I said, grabbing the bib off the floor.
"Another thing I bought." He smirked, taking it off me and looking at it.
"I'm not getting rid of them, or anything else you bought."
"Why not?" He frowned, putting the bib and baby grow back on the floor.
"Means too much to me, you were just as excited as me."
"Tell you what, let's get out of here and stay out until you're ready. Then we can clear all this stuff out, yeah?" Aston asked, pulling me up by my hands.
"Yeah okay." I mumbled, brushing myself off.
Aston lead me out the room and he went to say goodbye to Lexi.
"Where you going?" Lexi asked, clinging onto Astons neck as she was balanced on Astons hip.
"Home." Aston laughed.
"Why?"
"I have to go back some time Lex." he chuckled, jostling her up.
"I don't want you to go." She pouted, giving Aston the puppy dog eyes.
"Aw no don't give me the eyes." Aston moaned.
"Pleaseee?" Lexi asked, sticking her bottom lip out.
"I can't, I'm going to see my mum then get ready for work tomorrow. I would if I could Lex, you know that." Aston explained as Lexi's face softened.
"Because I'm your favourite." She grinned cheekily.
"Of course you are." He laughed before kissing her cheek and putting her down.
Lexi went back to playing in her room as I followed Aston back downstairs to the front door.
"Right, promise me you'll take your meds?" Aston asked, taking both my hands.
"I will."
"Because I don't want you in any more pain."
"I won't, I'll take them don't worry." I giggled at how worried he was.
"Me and you still need to talk." He said, raising his eyebrows.
"About what?" I frowned in confusion.
Aston rolled his eyes before leaning forwards and kissing me gently.
"That answer your question?" He smirked as he pulled away.
"A little bit." I giggled as Aston pulled me into a hug.
"We'll be okay you know." He mumbled, rubbing his hands up and down my back.
"I know, thank you."
"No need for that, just look after yourself alright?"
"Alright, now go! I'm sure your mum's waiting for you." I smiled, pushing him away.
"I'm going, just make sure you call me if anything happens yeah?" He asked, walking out the front door.
"Promise." I smiled as he walked off down the path and into his car.
