Chapter Thirty-Five[Losing Hope]
This was not happening. I thought as I ran out of the forest. The only thoughts that were running through my head was. Run. Find help. The sun was starting to go down, which left me with a little light. It didn't matter though I was in town, so I knew this place like the back of my hand. Where the fuck was everybody?
It seemed as if everyone was gone. The adrenaline was pushing my body to the max. I didn't even slow down when my house came into view. In fact I sped up and found myself bursting through the door. From the momentum of me slamming into the door, it threw me off balance. So for the second time today I was sprawled out onto the floor.
"Kendall what the hell?" I must have had a crazed look on my face, because he backed away. The sight of him only intensified my look, as I jumped up and ran to him. The argument that we had early had been long forgotten.
"In...the...woods. I-i." For the first time I couldn't get out anything that made sense. I could barely breathe. My brain was telling me to speak, while my lungs were begging for some air. Or maybe I was just in shock."She..the....."
Liam grabbed my face in his hands,"Kendall breathe." He spoke calmly. But his eyes were alarmed and filled with worry. That just only made me more frantic.
"I-i...was running." I paused trying to find the right words."Everything happened so fast...and...and-" My already wide eyes widen when Liam's palm connect with my cheek. This brought me back down to reality.
"You slapped me." I accused, eyes narrowing slightly.
He rolled his brown eyes,"Tell me what happened. Why you look like you've just been attacked by a wild animal?"
"What the hell is going on down here?" Andrew's eyes went wide when he took in my appearance. He immediately pushed Liam out of the way and took hold of me."What happened to you?"
I yanked myself away from him."Trent's mother tried to kill herself in the lake in the forest." I rushed out hoping they caught it, though from the looks on their faces they had heard me.
"Trent!" Andrew yelled. He yelled so loud that the other boys ran down the stairs. With worried looks on each of their faces. Though they didn't have time to ask what was going on. Because Andrew cut them off.
"Blake I want you to stay here, and call Chaire's dad because he'll know what to do. Get 911 on the phone so they can get here when we get back." I nodded, but froze when Trent made it down the stairs. With Simon and Paul close behind him. What was I going to tell him? I just found your mother laying facedown in the water.
"Do you know where you're going?" He nodded, Andrew knew this place just as well as I did. Though for some reason I just wasn't thinking straight.
"Trent go get the flash lights from under the sink. I'm going to need some of you guys to come with me." Without questioning Andrew, Trent ran towards the kitchen in search of the flashlights. Within a second he was back with three of them in his hand, and a confused look on his face.
"What's going on?" Trent asked, as they headed towards the door. Andrew turned around and whistled, which had Hurricane bounding after his retreating form.
"I'll tell you on the way." And with that he left me standing, with Louis, Niall, and Simon.
Shakily I walked into the living room, with the three of them following close behind me. The adrenaline in my system had started to wear off. My whole body started to ache, the pain in my left arm was increasing slightly. Though with great effort I willed myself to pick up the phone. Called 911 and told them what happened and where to come.
