Newts P.O.V

My loud obnoxious alarm clock I'm woke me up at 7 sharp. Today Tina and I had to go to a wizard book store for a small book signing.

I honestly had no idea how well my book was doing, I hoped well. I wanted witches and wizards of all ages to be aware of these majestic creatures and that most of them aren't really that harmless.

I went out of my cabin and grabbed breakfast for the animals. I carried around a large bucket feeding different creatures as I walked around.
I loved doing this, it cleared my head, made me comfortable and ready for the rest of the day.

I guess I forgot where I was because when I opened the suitcase and found myself in a hotel room I was taken back a bit.

Oh yeah memories flooded back, Paris, book signing, Tina, Leta.

Wait Leta?

Then I remembered her letter, she's in Paris. Is this a good thing or a bad thing. Half my brain was thinking maybe we could realize the past while the other was thinking, no this is a very bad thing.

I never wrote back, I didn't know what to say. I was with Tina and Queenie for the past two weeks, I didn't even think of responding.

I was pacing now thinking about unnecessary problems. I heard a door open and turned to the sound.

Tina walked out "Newt what are you doing?" She asked

I hesitated "well I uh, I'm just nervous for my book signing today."

She smiled, a warm smile that usually would make my stomach turn a bit, but I was to nervous to think about that right now.

"Newt." She started "your book is doing great, and I'm sure you'll do fantastic at your book signing."

She walked closer to where I was standing, "plus I believe someone once told me worrying makes you suffer twice."

I didn't realize I had stepped closer to her, we were very close, I was worried she could hear my heart racing, and for once I was grateful Queenie wasn't here.

Tina stepped back "do you want some cocoa or coffee?"

I hadn't realized I was holding my breath until Tina walked into the small cooking space.

"Uh cocoa will do fine." She nodded and pulled out her wand.

She sighed "typical No-maj." I watched as she used her wand to make the kitchen larger.

"How do you do that?" I asked.

"Do what, magic?" She laughed "I think you have that ability as well."

"No, how do you cast spells without saying them. It's incredibly difficult only a few students at Hogwarts can do it."

She put her wand down and leaned against the counter "well at Ilvermorny, were taught to hide magic from the no-maj, so we're taught to use spells in our head. It took me till my 4th year to figure it out." She said sheepishly.

"I've never understood Americans not wanting to have any relations with muggles." I said

We were quiet until she said softly "I'm a half-blood, people at school used to make fun of Queenie and I for it, well because like you said Americans don't appreciate magical and non magical relations."
