Chapter 22: Home, Sweet Home

"W-what's going on?" Asked Kankuro, confused. Gaara and I stopped kissing and turned to look at Kankuro. "Um, we're kissing... Well, were kissing." I answered. Gaara nodded.

"Oh, um... Alright.." Kankuro said uncomfortably, while scratching the back of his neck. I walked up to Kankuro. I slowly put my hand on his shoulder. "It's alright Kankuro... You don't have to be uncomfortable around me and Gaara being a couple. We're already used to it." I said.

"Alright (Y/N), if you say so..." Answered Kankuro. I took my hand off Kankuro's shoulder. I turned around and walked to Gaara. "So, would you like to go back home, (Y/N)?" Gaara asked me.

"Sure." I replied, "What about you guys' Temari, Kankuro?" I asked. "Now, I think I'll stay here at the village for a while. You two love birds go on ahead together." Said Temari. "I'll stay here too. Maybe go buy some food... For myself..." Said Kankuro. "Alright, bye guys!" I said as I waved goodbye.

Gaara waved too. We started walking home, holding hands.

5 MINUTES LATER

Gaara and I made it home. "It's good to be back home, isn't it Gaara?" I said as I took a deep breath in. "Yeah. I can finally spend some alone time with you, (Y/N)." Gaara answered as he looked as me, having a smile on his face.

I looked at Gaara, smiling back. "Wanna watch a movie?" I asked. "Sure." Gaara replied. We went to the living room.

Suddenly, I felt a jolt of pain on my ankle. "Ouch!" I yelped in pain. "Are you alright (Y/N)?" Gaara asked me, concern filling in his voice. "I guess I hurt my ankle while fighting Orochimaru. I'll be fine though." I replied.

"Alright. Just sit on the couch so you don't make it worse. I'll get the movie." Gaara said. "Ok." I sat on the couch while I sighed in relief. I really missed that comfy couch. "What movie do you want to watch, (Y/N)?" Gaara asked.

"This movie that I just bought. It just came out and I bought it before we left for the mission. What was its name? Um.... Oh yeah! It's called 50 Shades Of Red." I replied. "Alright. I'll go get it." Gaara said.

Gaara found the movie and put out in the DVD player. He had some popcorn in his hand too. "Want some, (Y/N)?" Gaara said while holding the popcorn in front of me. "Yes I do." I replied.

Gaara dimmed the lights and sat down next to me. He turned the movie on. I shoved my hand in the popcorn.

1 HOUR AND 45 MINUTES LATER

"That was awesome!" I said as the movie ended. "Yeah. By the way, I have to asked you something (Y/N)..." Gaara said. "What is it Gaara?" I asked curiously.

"Will you marry me?" Gaara asked me.

Gaara took out a little black box and opened it. There was a ring inside it. My eyes widened. It was so beautiful... I looked at Gaara in the eyes. His eyes were... So cute. I have love Gaara ever since I met him... And now he's asking me to marry him... Oh my god....

Tears of joy ran down my face. "Yes Gaara.... Of course I will marry you..." I said. Gaara smiled wide and started crying with the tears of joy as well.
