We all watched Newt read his letter, I think all of us felt uncomfortable like we were invading his privacy.

When Quennie walked in Jacob and I looked at her to see if she could figure out why Newt all the sudden looked so depressed.

She didn't help much.

"Is something wrong?" I asked immediately thinking about horrible scenarios.

He looked up from his letter "oh uh sorry it's just that well, my publicist wants me in Paris soon for a book signing." He said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Well that's great Newt it means your book is doing well." I exclaimed.

"Yeah but it also means I have to leave." He said quickly. My smile faded I didn't really think about that, and now I didn't want him to leave.

This made me feel incredibly selfish and stupid and guilty "uh if you'll just excuse me for a moment." I said as I walked out of my bedroom.

Oh gosh I'm so stupid I can't keep Newt here just because I like his company, I- well ugh I didn't know my thoughts were so jumbled.

Newt walked into the living room where I was "your not mad are you?" He asked.

"No no of course not Newt I could never be mad at you, it's just I feel like you've only just gotten here and now you're leaving again."

He looked down at his shoes "I know, I've been thinking about that, how about before I leave we can hang out."

"Like a date?" I asked oh no that's not what I meant oh gosh what have I done.

"Uh I mean I guess kind of I don't really know what you Americans consider dates." He said he had his hand behind his neck and he wasn't looking at me.

"Well I have work tomorrow but I guess you could stop by," I said. I couldn't met his eyes partly because I didn't want to but the other part kept thinking about that time we almost kissed in his case.

If Jacob hadn't knocked would we have? I blushed at the thought and scolded myself for being a silly school girl.

"Ok" he said "I'll stop by."

I smiled "I'd like that." He smiled to and we just kind of awkwardly stood there.

"Actually do you just want to do something now?"

I looked at him and gave him a questioning look trying to figure out if he was serious or not.

"I mean only if you want to" he said quietly.

"I'd love to!" I said, I walked out to my room and grabbed my coat Quennie and Jacob were still in there.

I still wanted to be mad at her but I couldn't she was my sister and she was to dear to me to be mad at for very long.

"Thanks Teenie now go have fun on your date." She said I blushed and grabbed my coat "uh don't wait up for me." I said.

She grinned as I ran back out to meet Newt.

"You ready?" I asked he held out his arm for me "I suppose so." He said as I took his arm.

The best part was is neither one of us dressed formal at all we were both very causal and very clueless of where to go or what to do.
