Chapter 10: I don't care!
I walked inside the tent and saw Will lying on the bed staring at the ceiling. "Hey," I greeted as he looked in my direction. He sat up on the bed as I walked toward him sitting down on the bed next to him.
"Hey," He greeted. "What did the doctors have to say?"
"They said that I'm only going to be alive for two weeks-" I was explaining until he cut me off.
"What?! No, that can't be true!" He yelled.
"Let me finish," I said. "Unless the medicines they gave me work,"
"The medicines better work, I can't lose another family member," He muttered.
"You won't lose another family member," I told him.
"Promise?" He asked.
"Promise," I said. I don't know if I will stay alive, I'm just hoping for the best. And I just wanted to give him some hope. "Anyway, remember when you said we only need $400.00 more to buy a house?" I asked standing up and walking toward the mirror. I took off my beanie and started to brush my hair to see of anymore chunks would come out.
"What happened?!" He yelled ignoring my question. He walked toward the mirror and sat down next to me.
"It's a part of cancer... I think," I said muttering the last part. "Is there anything I can do to help you earn $400.00?"
"Don't do anything, I'll earn it," He said kissing my head.
"Okay," I said. I got up and walked toward the place where our suitcases were, next to it, there as a bag where we kept scissors and razors. I picked up a pair of scissors and walked back toward the mirror. I started to cut my hair to the shortest length possible.
"What are you doing?" Will asked.
"I'm going to shave my head, it's going to happen anyway," I said. I got one of the razor thingies and started to shave my head.
It was night and Will was sleeping. It was one of those restless nights for me where I couldn't sleep. The only thing that I could think of was the $400.00 we needed to buy a house. I slowly got up from the bed and walked toward the suitcases. I changed into a baggy shirt, leggings and a beanie to hide my shaved head. I put on my mask and got the bag I needed for street fighting and walked out of the tent. Will said not to help him earn the money but I can't just let him do all the work. I can just earn the money doing street fighting and Will can go and look for a house tomorrow.
I was running toward the club now and I could hear all their cheers and screams. The place is probably packed- like always. Obviously it's going to be packed, it's always packed, what was I expecting? I should really stop talking to myself, I'm being so immature, but who cares, immaturity keeps me young. I slowly opened the door and walked inside. I walked toward the corner that I always go to but I saw Dylan sitting there. I walked toward him and sat next to him. "Hey," I greeted. He looked in my direction with wide eyes.
"What are you doing here?!" He hissed at me.
"I needed money, chill dude," I said.
"I'm not going to chill, you can NOT fight!" He snapped.
"Look, hear me out, I need the money okay," I said. "We only need $400.00 to buy a house,"
"I'll get $400.00 for you, okay?" He asked.
"No," I said. "I can get it myself,"
"It wasn't a question," He said.
"I don't care!" I told him. I shoved my bag onto his lap and made my way toward this guy who worked here. "Sign me up for the next fight,"
"Austen, you haven't fought here for a long time!" He exclaimed.
"I know, now sign me up," I demanded.
"Yes, sir," He did as I said and I walked back toward Dylan.
"Are you fighting?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I'm here for Mark, he's going next," Dylan said.
"Well, I guess I'm fighting him," I told him.
"Ok, cool- WAIT WHAT?!" He screamed in my ear making me fall off the bench.
"Oi, don't scare me like that!" I snapped at him sitting back on the bench.
"You can not go against Mark!" He yelled at me.
"Well I am, deal with it!" I yelled back.
"Mark Joseph!" A guy shouted making the crowd roar in excitement. "Will be fighting Austen!" I got up and was about to walk away when I felt someone tug on my hand. I turned around and saw Dylan looking up at me.
"Don't!" He snapped.
"I'm going!" I yelled at him. His eyes suddenly widened and quickly stood up.
"Are you okay?" He asked with a concerned voice.
"I'm fine," I said.
"No you're not," He said. "You suddenly turned really pale,"
"I'm fine," I said. I turned around and walked toward the ring.
"Ready, set, start!" This guy yelled into the microphone. Mark through a punch at me which I easily ducked. I tried to kick him in the shins but he grabbed a hold of my foot and twisted it making me fall on the ground. He started to punch me in the face but before he could knock me out, I said-
"I'm Naomi," His eyes widened making me take advantage of that. I kicked him in the head making him fall back. I got up and was about to punch him in the head but my vision suddenly went blurry. My legs felt weak like jelly and I could barely stand. Pain shot up from my back to my head and I had a horrible headache. My vision kept on getting more blurry until it turned black. My eyes rolled back and the last thing I remember was Dylan and Mark yelling at me to stay awake before my back hit the ground.
SUP COWS (Or if you want to be a normal and boring human being, SUP GUYS)
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I haven't updated for a while so you guys deserve two chapters in one day. (I might write a third one today as well)
The reason Mark didn't recognize Naomi was because she shaved her head and was wearing a beanie. He thought someone else named themselves Austen since 'Austen' is the best fighter there. Mark isn't smart either.
I left you guys at a cliff hanger! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Which cover do you guys like best? Till the next chapter,

"WIAT!" I yelled. "I have a knock knock joke," I blurted. "Go, quick," "Knock knock," I said. "Who's there?" He asked. "Cows go," I said. "Cows go who?" He asked. "No, cows go moo," I said. "Taaa daaa!" "Okay, now get out of my way,"...
