Genius Ninth Princess

Chapter 2

(That's how the emperor kind of looks)

Yin Yun heard all of this and can't help but smirk in her heart. She slowly open her eyes and faked a cough.

Yin Xing Tan, hearing her cough, looked up and personally helped Yin Yun up. However, the moment she sat up, she bit the inside of her mouth to draw blood. Yin Xing Tan seeing the blood and her face becoming even paler, became even more enraged.

"Yun'er, tell me, who dared to poison you? Wait, no. Tell me what you ate yesterday."

Yin Xing Tan knew that his daughter had the mentality of a 6-year old so he can't ask her who poisoned her. The other princesses were full of fear but when they thought of her as a good for nothing, they relaxed a bit.

Yin Yun saw their anxious and fearful face carefully looking at her. 'Weren't you the ones who dared to poison Yin Yun? How come you only now think of the consequences?' Yin Yun shook her head in her heart, smirking at the princesses' low intelligences.

"Father, Yun'er's stomach was hurting after coming back from fifth sister's palace."

Yin Yun putted on a sad and painful face. Fake tears were slowly forming in her eyes. When Yin Xing Tan saw her teary eyes, he became more enraged!

"Yin Lin! What did you feed her at your palace! Were you the one who poisoned her?!"

The Emperor turned around and shouted while pointing at the fifth princess. When the fifth princess heard this her face became paler and more anxious. Stepping forward, she kneel down and cried.

"Father, it wasn't Lin'er who poisoned meimei! Lin'er invited meimei for snacks and tea to my palace but when meimei came, meimei's stomach was already hurting! It wasn't Lin'er who poisoned meimei, it really wasn't Lin'er"

Yin Lin kowtowed on the ground hitting her head to show that it wasn't her. Yin Yun laughed in her heart and praised Yin Lin's acting.

"Father, that isn't true, my stomach was alright in the morning. I was invited to Jiejie's palace for snacks but after eating and drinking, I went back to my own palace. However, I didn't eat anything, I was bored so I played outside with the servants. It was only after one hour that my stomach started hurting and after that I fainted."

Yin Yun cried and had on a wronged expression. The Emperor seeing her you-must get-justice-for-me-face was more determined to get to the bottom of this. The officials were amazed how the ninth princess even dared to say "I" in front of the Emperor. One could see how much the emperor doted on her when he didn't scolded her for it. The princesses on the other hand, had different thoughts than the officials. 'Is this really our good-for-nothing sister? How can she give such a detailed description?'

"What happened yesterday? You must tell me everything, don't you dare to leave anything out!"

Yin Xing Tan ordered Yin Yun's favorite maid, Fu Ling, who goes wherever Yin Yun goes too. Fu Ling, hearing the emperor, kneeled down.

"Your majesty, it was really what the princess said, when we were playing in the courtyard, the princess suddenly threw up blood and fainted. We saw her face getting paler so we called for the imperial doctor but somehow they were nowhere to be founded!"

Yin Yun smiled at Fu Ling's words and praised her for her intelligence. 'This girl is quick-witted and doesn't even stutter in front of the emperor. No wonder the former owner favored this maid.' Yin Yun had a good impression of this maid now.

Yin Xing Tan's face became even darker and was confused how all the imperial doctors were no where to be found.

"What happened? How come you guys weren't at the medicine bureau?"

Yin Xing Tan turned towards the imperial doctors and asked. If looks could kill, the imperial doctors probably would be minced in to a million pieces by now. The imperial doctors' faces became pale fear crept over their hearts. A brave imperial doctor stepped forward to speak. He bowed towards the Emperor and began speaking.

"Your majesty, we were all at Imperial Consort Su's palace."
