Problems with sleeping in your case

Number one is you might find a demiguise sitting on your chest when you wake up.

"Dougal what are you doing?" I asked groggily my eyes barely opened. He just stared at me.

I sat up "ok I guess it is time for feeding," I picked him up and he wrapped his arms around my neck.

I gave him some snacks and let him onto his nest "now Dougal be a good boy and stay here I can't be searching the whole case for you." I scolded, but I was smiling.

I walked over to the bowtruckle tree and placed Pickett with his friends "I'll be back Pickett." I said to him.

Pickett scowled at me and I gave a shrug as I walked away back to my cabin petting and touching my creatures on the way and giving some of them snacks.

I climbed the ladder out of the case I could smell eggs. Quennie must be cooking, I thought.

But when I went into the kitchen Quennie wasn't there, it was Tina cooking.

"Good Morning Newt." She said cheerfully

"Uh good morning." I replied "where's Quennie?" I asked.

Her smile weakened a little bit "she went to go visit Jacob." I froze

Jacob? I thought did he remember. Tina seemed like she was reading my mind

"he is starting to remember more and more I'm letting Quennie I don't see a problem in him knowing," she shrugged

Without thinking I said "frankly I think it's unfair that you're letting your sister break the law as an Auror, but I accidentally let loose one Niffler and you arrest me not as an Auror."

I meant it as a joke but she looked embarrassed. "Oh I'm sorry Tina I was only joking I didn't mean to-"

She cut me off "no it's fine it's just I still feel bad about it to this day." She let out a small laugh.

I looked at my shoes for some reason I was the embarrassed one now. When I looked up I saw her going back to her cooking.

"Would you like some eggs?" She asked.

I nodded she set a plate in front of me with some fresh scrambled egg, she sat on the other side of me and began to eat,

"what are you waiting for?" she asked.

"Oh right." I said and began eating my own food, we sat in silence for what seemed like an eternity I just didn't know what to say and I don't think she knew what to say either.

"So you and Quennie don't have work today?" I asked trying my best to create at least some small talk so that the meal didn't become unbearable. 

"Quennie and I had the day off, but we both have to go back tomorrow." she groaned as she said it. "I sometimes wished that I never had to work at all, I mean don't get me wrong I love to work in the field it adds some excitement to the day, but there are days I wish I could just relax with Quennie."

I nodded as if I understood, its not like I didn't understand, but my job now was take care of my creatures and go to book signings, so her day seemed a lot more complicated then mine, except when the Niffler gets out.

I laughed at my own thought out loud and Tina looked at me like I was crazy or rude, because it looked like I just laughed at her saying se wanted to hang out with her sister. Immediately I felt horrible.

"I am so sorry Tina I wasn't laughing at you I was thinking about Nifflers and oh I'm a mess I'm sorry I wasn't trying to make you feel bad, I'm so stupid I cant do anything right awkward Newt typical-" she cut me off and started laughing
