(Based on my favorite TV show, Shameless. Grayson is like Fiona, the oldest sibling taking care of everyone. Ethan is Steve, the boyfriend who tries to help and spoil Gray. The rest of the kids are Grayson's siblings; their dad is drunk like Frank and the mom left them. Cameron and Monica are the neighbors; and no not Cameron Dallas or Dolan. And also their last name is Gallagher; I kept that.)

Grayson

"One more time. Blow!" The twins simultaneously blew into the tissues. "Alright! Now go get ready for school. Ava and Aiden ran up to their rooms with Jess following behind. "Gray, I need $10 for our school field trip." Alex yelled, rushing into the shared bathroom. Jason was running for it as well, and frowned when the door locked. I dug into my pocket as I walked to the kitchen counters where the peanut butter was smeared across the counter. When he came back, he took the crinkled bill and shoved it into his pocket. "Thanks." "No problem. KIDS GET YOUR LUNCH!" I shouted. Alex started to help out with the food.

Jason ran down the stairs after using the bathroom, barely putting his shirt on. "Here's $100 I found on the way back from Mickey and Mandy's place." He put the bill in the jar. "You've been hanging around there a lot recently." I noted. "Yeah, Mickeys pretty cool." Ava and Aiden came back without their coats. "Go back, get your coats." Jess pulled her doll out of the microwave where Max probably left it. I checked my watch in fear. "Oh my god. It's 10:14! Out of the house before you're late." They all scrambled to the front door. I passed each of them their bagged lunches as they walked out. "Bye Grayson." They all said and I waved. "Wait.... where's Max?" Jess asked. "SHIT, MAX!" He dashed out of his room with his hair still messy from sleep. He took the lunch, said a quick good-bye, and caught up with the guys.

The door slammed shut behind them. I ran my hands through my hair with an exhausted sigh. At least they weren't late today. "I just got Jamie to sleep." Ethan's voice came from the bottom of the stairs. I smiled, trying to hide how stressed I really was. I still had things to take care of. He leaned down and gave me a quick kiss. When he disappeared into the living room, I noticed that he tucked a $20 into the pocket of my shirt. "Ethan, I told you I don't need your money!" He came back into the room with a smile. I tossed the dollar back to him. "So the kids are gone..." He rolled up his sleeve, exposing his golden watch. I rolled my eyes as he exaggeratedly showed it off. "That means we have about an hour to ourselves." He came dangerously close and his voice lowered as he spoke. We both grinned before he pulled me close to him and we began moving our lips in sync.

I was sitting on the counter with him in between my legs. Things were getting heated when Cam and Monica walked in. "Aye, guys. Sorry to cockblock. Your kid broke the toaster again!" Cameron took a swig of his beer. Monica frowned at her boyfriend before making herself a sandwich. "What's new?" I rolled my eyes and hopped onto the floor. Max was always experimenting with our kitchen appliances, and when ours broke, he goes for Cam and Monica's stuff. "Oh Grayson. Someone was looking for you yesterday in the bar. They were asking where you live and stuff. If you ask me, she looked a bit shady with that hood on, couldn't see her face though." Monica said. She worked as the bartender, so she heard and saw everything that happened.

Ethan returned again (I didn't know he left). "Who looks shady?" "I don't know, but she didn't look happy." "I'll come over later, see if she's still there." I grabbed my stuff. "Where you going?" Ethan asked. "I'm gonna go run some errands. Meet me at the bar."

...oOo...

"Who would be looking for you right now?" Cam asked. Monica was pouring drinks as the stranger conversed with her back facing us. "How would I know?" I nervously glanced. "Maybe it's someone that I took the PSAT for and they're coming back for me." Alex muttered. "No, it could be one of the Snob Mob's moms." Jess mumbled. "Don't you kids have something better to do?" I joked. They all mumbled their "no"s and "I wish"s. It was afterschool, so the kids followed us here. Even thought it was a bar, our dad came here all the time, so it wasn't uncommon to see us here. I had a feeling this was another stupid thing my father had caused. We almost lost Jamie to a random drug dealer on the opposite side of town, because he couldn't pay his debt of ten grand after betting he couldn't be tasered twice... and he lost.
