I know I know two years later sucks but the next movie is taking place in 1928 so trying to keep it similar!

Newts P.O.V

"Thank you Mr. Bennett you don't know how much this means to me!" I said eagerly,

I shook his hand he looked almost as delighted as I did, my book was finally finished and ready to be sold. He gave me a copy,

"I'm sure you woud like to have this." he said.

My eyes widened "the very first?" I asked.

He nodded "of course I'll give you several more before you leave, but yes that is the very first, if your book is a success it could be very valuable one day."

I looked down at the beautiful copy my fingers touching the title Fantastic Beasts and where to find them however, I knew the book did not belong to me. There was someone I had already promised it to and I couldnt think of anyone better to have it.

"Thank you again sir, I appreciate your help." I said,

He gave a warm smile "I was hoping we could do a book signing possibly in the next month?"

I bit my lip "Uh, actually I've had this trip planned so could it possibly wait awhile?" I asked

I was hoping my plans wouldn't affect anything. He narrowed his eyes,

"Mr. Scamander, you do have your free will, but you're now an author and possibly a very famous one in the future! Where on earth could you be going that would be so important you would post-pone a book signing?"

I smiled and looked out the window "New York."  I said softly

He glanced out the window where I was looking "New York? What's so special about New York? If you dont mind me asking."

I faced him again "Uh- well there's a friend I promised to visit when I got my book published, and- and she's been waiting for two years."

He smiled like he understood "Ahhh, a girl. I see, ha I should have known."

I could feel my cheeks warming up a bit "uh its not exactly like that sir."

I could tell he felt uncomfortable, almost embarrassed "So sorry Mr. Scamander, didnt mean to pry or assume. I hope you have a good trip and we'll talk about a book signing after you return."

I sighed, relieved. "Thanks again Mr. Bennett."

After a few extra details about the book he handed me a box of copies so that I may give them to my close friends and family. After the meeting I went straight to the Mens room, went down into my case and put the box of books down. Pickett climbed out of my pocket and sat on the box.

"Pickett, don't they just look fantastic?" I asked

Pickett nodded but seemed to not be interested in the books I watched him as he climbed down and walked along my work desk. I stared at him confused until he reached the part of my desk where a white ticket laid. I picked it up recognizing it as my ticket to New York.

"Well Pickett, I suppose you're right it is time to pay a visit to our friends."

He seemed to nod, but there was something else he seemed to be looking for, he walked over to my journal. I picked it up and a folded paper fell out. I sighed and picked it up I had read this letter multiple times still trying to wrap my head around it. I opened it and read it again.

  Dear Newt,

Hello dear friend! I have realized what an awful long time its been, we haven't seen each other in years and I terribly miss you. Part of me wishes I could run over to England and say how much I've missed you and give you a hug and we could catch up and talk about all of our wonderful memories at Hogwarts. Sadly, I am residing in Paris for the time being- it is a beautiful magical place with lots of amazing creatures I just know you'd love it here! Please write back soon I just hope we can work something out and see each other again.

With much love XOXO -Leta

I glanced at her picture hanging on my wall, Leta Lestrange memories flooded back into me part of me wanted to smile the other part didnt, She had truly hurt me. I know I took the blame but part of me just hoped she would stand up for herself, Hogwarts meant everything to me and yet I had to be the one to leave it.

"I shouldn't hold a grudge against her." I said to myself. "She probably didn't mean to cause me pain."

I looked at the letter again. I hadn't written her back like she asked me to do. I just didn't know what to say part of me was to busy and the other was simply scared. I set the letter on the desk.

"Come on Pickett we have a boat to catch." I picked him up and climbed the ladder and exited my true home. I picked up my case made sure it was locked and then exited the Mens room. As I walked out of the lobby of the Wizard Worldly Publishing center, I apparated to the Docks. Just in time actually, thank goodness I thought to myself. It would have been such a downer on my day if I had missed it.

I was so excited to see the Goldsteins again. Pickett seemed to sense my excitement and kept pocking his head out of my poket and giving me glances.

"What" I asked "Can I not be excited about visiting my friends?"

He didn't do anything, but I knew what he was thinking.

"Alright Pickett, I'm excited to see Tina, but that is just between you and me."

That seemed to satisfy him and he slipped back into my pocket. Merlins beard I got distracted thinking about Tina I thought. I rushed to my boat which was just about to leave and gave the captain my ticket before rushing on board.

I heard him mumble something about The British so I assumed he was an American Sailor. I went to the back and sat down I couldn't wait to be back in America.

                                                          ***************************************

I woke up to the sound of a horn. My eyes peeling open I saw passengers retrieving thier stuff and heading off the boat we must be here I thought.

I grabbed my case and made sure Pickett was still in my pocket before heading off into the crisp New York air. Memories flooded into my brain. The first time arriving at New York to the moment I left Tina standing here at the docks.

I apparatd quickly to the immagrint checking area hoping it woud be quick already the day was approaching evening. Bagging check was so much easier this time the man checking me didnt even ask to look in my case it seemed he was too tired.

"Rough day?" I asked

He raised his eyebrows and nodded. "My wife is having her baby soon and I'm just anxious to get home."

I just smiled like I understood.

"Well, you're all set- welcome to New York." He said

I grabbed my case and headed off walking down the streets to the Goldstein apartment- it was taking forever!

Then I realized I didn't even notify them that I was coming- what if they didn't want to see me anymore? It had been two years, what if they weren't home what if Tina was engaged or worse married it would be highly improper to show up at her house then, oh wait what if they don't even live there anymore.

I was thinking so much I didn't even realize I had made it to the front of the building.

"Well I guess we'll just have to find out for ourselves won't we Pickett." I said quietly.

I apparated into the building to the front door remembering that their apartment wasn't supposed to have men on the premises. I took a deep breath and stood for a moment. Should I knock? leave?

To late my body was faster then my mind, I knocked.

YAY second chapter this one was difficult to write because I really wanted to put Tina's POV but I just didn't know how to fit it in so I based it all on Newt I think it turned out ok! Tell me what you think. Ima call you all Nifflers!

Thanks Nifflers!!
