heart of courage - two steps from hell

Rapidly the shouting transforms into screaming. But whatever they're screaming at, we can't see it; an ivory wall is blocking our view.
"Turn around, you idiot!"
"Mate, watch out!!"
"Bro, bro, bro BEHIND YOU."
'It' finally comes into our view and as Sam spins around, it's too late. Holy hell... I...I cannot believe my eyes. What I'm seeing is practically impossible... This can't be real. It just physically cannot. Period! That's all there is to it.

MORNING CAME too fast.
While half asleep, I slide my hand underneath my pillow to locate my phone. I swipe right to disable my 6:45 AM alarm. I stop and lay there for a good wholesome moment. Hearing the birds joyfully chirping outside doesn't make me any less depressed than I am.
Fuck my life.
I trod into my bathroom and stare into the mirror above my basin. Puffing aside my brown hair, I exhale, "great - same shit, different day."
After stripping, I smudge a splotch of Colgate on my toothbrush before jumping into the shower to begin brushing my teeth.
Skipping breakfast as usual, I grab my backpack and shut my bedroom door. Keeping in mind that it's Mum's day off, I run quietly down the stairs. Dad's probably at work already, I'm dead asleep when he wakes up. Knowing my sister, she's still snoring, fast asleep, and then wonders why she's late to school all the time.
I grip the front-door knob and just as I'm about to twist it, I pause, rolling my eyes. Fucking hell." I spin around and silently run back up the stairs to Amber's room.
I don't wanna get another time-consuming lecture from Mum for 'why didn't you wake your sister up when you knew she was going to be late!' - maybe it's because of the simple fact that I ain't her freaking human clock, Mum. Jesus.
Nevertheless, I open her room door and poke my head in. "Amber, get the hell up. You're gonna be late."
I groan; she always does this! "Am-ber...!"
Still no sound.
"Jesus Chr-Amber get up!"
She rolls around in her bed and stops, mumbling something incomprehensible. I take my cap off in a fit and chuck it at her. Nothing. Wow. Unbelievable.
