It was clear that I had to do everything in my power to better my life and that of my mother and sieblings. As the saying goes, the rest is history. My Mind takes me back to those early years of my life as a child growing in the dusty streets of Moripane village, in the Limpopo Province. Being a herd boy was what I did without questioning. My grandfather was enlightened about the importance of education. He always wanted me to balance schooling and being a herd boy. But I also had to do domestic work like fetching water from Ngwaritsi River, cooking, washing and cleaning the household. I was not aware that these duties kept me away from street life and gave me some of the skills that I was to need in my future life.
