Dig Deeper

Have you ever felt intrigued by the number of faces,
Each person is entitled to, you discover in different cases
Sometimes you meet them, sometimes you're forbidden,
Sometimes they're friendly and some just stay hidden
It's odd to see how they slowly unlatch,
Further and further till it's hard to catch
That person you knew, before you dug deeper,
Is slowly fading away, you'll never get to keep her
Blown away in the wind is her beautiful mask,
Revealing the next is the harder task
The more you whisk away, the harder it gets,
To truly find her core, the girl you first met
Each person has sides to them you want to see,
And some you wished they'd cover, so that you'll finally feel free.

Every person in this world is two-faced. When you say you hate them, it means you've only dug deep enough to find the side that you despise. Maybe if you'd just dig deeper than that you'd find the person inside that you can grow fond of. Sometimes it really is about the side you show to others too. Maybe the reason that girl doesn't like you is because you show her the side she doesn't like. Try being different towards her, you might see a change. I'm not saying you should ever change yourself for another being. What I'm saying is that if things don't work out between two people, it just means they haven't dug deep enough. They haven't found the side they can love yet. Always get to know someone before you judge.
