After cruising through traffic, we found ourselves at a local pizza parlor, the aroma of dough filling out nostrils. They say you haven't tasted pizza until you've ate a New York pizza. We found ourselves a booth getting comfortable. Seiko, Xavier and Tay sat on the opposite side of Cam and I.
Cam slid his arm around my waist, as I slid closer to his warm body exchanging smiles.
"What kind of pizza do you want?" he asked me, not bothering to look at the menu, smiling sweetly.
"I want something with a cheese stuffed crust, but I'm open to anything to any topping you're having," answering him. I mean this was New York; I wanted to try a little bit of everything.
A guy around our age came to our table and introduced his self as Adrian. He was tall and muscular, with dark brown messy hair, and grey eyes that immediately landed on Tay. He went around the table, taking our orders as he collected our menus.
"Okay, I'll be right back with your drinks." He stated as he stared at Tay before going to get our drinks, who apparently thought her drink was WAY more fascinating than Adrian. You would've thought that Tay was the only person at the table. Cam and I was the only ones who seemed to notice, because Xavier and Seiko were in their own world arguing over who beat who in Ruzzle.
"Hey, Tay, that guy Adrian seems to like you." She looked at me softly with an 'Are-you-sure?' face.
"I don't know about that." She told me smiling to herself, not even believing it.
"Okay, please tell me why when he was taking our orders, it's like we weren't even here, he was glancing at you the whole time. Maybe you should at least get to know him, it won't hurt." I assured her, smiling widely.
"Yeah, you're right, it won't hurt."
A few moments later, Adrian came back with your drinks with another waiter trailing right behind him with our plates of steaming, hot pizza. Once the pizza and calzones hit the table, everyone dug in. The cheese stuffed pizza was the best, California had nothing on New York pizza.
A little while later, I sighed with satisfaction, closing my eyes as I felt Cam kiss my cheek and rest his head on my shoulder, his hair tickling my neck as he put both of his arms around my waist.
"It was good, wasn't it?" he whispered.
"Yeah, it was really was," I answered him, eyes still closed, listening to his melodic voice in my ear. I slid closer until my back was resting on his chest, sitting in a comfortable silence, the world slowly fading away from me, the only thing mattering being Cam.
He started placing light kisses on shoulder blade as he chuckled as I suppressed a small moan. "You tease." I accused, pulling back from me slightly turning around to look at him.
"But you like it." He informed me matter-of-factly with a smirk on his face. I playfully rolled my eyes at him.
"You're quite cocky," I retorted to him as I leaned in kissing him sweetly.
