2 months after Indie and Harry's engagement
"Do you have any idea how depressing you are?" River asked as he walked up to the bar where Indie sat with bridal magazines sprawled out around her. He rested his hands on her shoulders and peered around to see what it was that she was looking at. He pointed out the set of plates, "I don't understand why this takes so long. Just pick out what you like and get on with it."
"It's not that easy," Indie groaned. "I may like something but it's all got to fit together and be united."
"It really is that easy," River rolled his eyes. "Two months and you're already turning into bridezilla."
"Shut up, asshole," Indie waved him off. "Aren't you supposed to be practicing or something?" She asked sarcastically as she spun around kicking his leg with her boot.
"I think I can take a break to annoy you," he grinned.
"Well, I don't appreciate it," she frowned. "I miss Harry."
"Ind, it's been two months since we left and you saw him two weeks ago," River sighed. "I did tell you that you didn't need to come when you got engaged if you wanted to stay with him."
"No," she sighed. "I wanted to come here and support you. Besides, Daniel got me that awesome job and I've been saving so much for the wedding and honeymoon. It's just that I wish he was here too."
"He's transferring to UCLA next year and he'll be here at the end of next month. Two months after that he'll be moving in with us. You think you can survive that long?" He asked.
"No," she whined. "I don't like being this far from him. It's just weird."
"Weird how?" He asked. "Weird that you're planning a wedding alone or...?"
"No, I have no idea what I'm talking about," she shook her head. "You really should get back to practicing now before Eric gets back and yells at you."
"He's not going to yell at me," River rolled his eyes. "He loves me."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that, River," Eric came into the bar and Indie let out a laugh as he rolled his eyes, heading back to the stage to tune is guitar and start sound check for his performance that night. "Hello India," he nodded to the brunette. "How are you?" He asked as he waved in a light haired brunette.
"I'm good," she smiled. "Yourself?"
"Good," he nodded. "I'd like to thank you again for helping out with the bar."
"Oh, it was no problem," Indie shook her head. "I'm here a lot anyways so I was happy to help. Who's this?" She asked looking at the brunette.
"Robin," she stepped over to offer her hand. "I'm the new bartender here."
"Nice to meet you," Indie smiled and shook her hand. "I'm Indie."
"Planning a wedding?" She asked looking at the magazines sprawled out.
"For August," she bobbed her head and turned her head when she heard River groaning. "What's your problem?" She asked him with a frown.
"Broke another damn string on this thing," he growled.
Indie rolled her eyes, "Go in my bag. I brought you some for your birthday."
"Geez, I love you," he laughed as he set the guitar down and knelt down to her bag at the edge of the stage to get out the guitar strings she had purchased for part of his birthday present that was in a few weeks.
"Is that the groom?" Robin smiled at the interaction.
"River?" Indie asked before laughing. "God, no. I mean, I love him and he's my soulmate but no. He's not my groom. My best friend and very single."
