Chapter Twelve

[Brianna POV]

Today, me and Shawn are going to the doctor to find out the sex of the baby. I got ready and waited for Shawn to come home from the store. When he walked in the front door, he walked up the stairs without even saying Hey, and changed his Clothes. He walked back down that stairs and looked at me sitting at the kitchen table trying to put on my shoes.

"Can I help babe?" He said, kneeling down towards my feet.

"Please." I said. He shoved my shoes onto my feet and we got up to leave. In the car, even though the doctor was only 10 minutes away, it felt like we were driving forever in the silent car, listening to the hum of the wheels riding on the road. When we finally pulled up to the hospital I slowly stepped out the car and nearly peed myself.

"Ooh Shit!" I shouted, catching Shawn's attention. He walked slowly towards me and grabbed my hand like I was an old lady so I could walk. We walked into St. Jonah Hospital and the candy-striper told us our room number.

"6704 Miss" she said. "Elevators are to your left, go to the 6th floor and turn right. You should find 704 soon after that." We walked towards the elevator and pressed the button. I smiled at Shawn and squeezed his hand. It was sweaty and shaky.

"Are you okay Shawn?" I shook his hand as we walked onto the elevator. He smiled back and said "Yeah Sure. Just a little nervous." The elevator dinged 5 Times and we got there pretty quick. We walked into the room and I sat down on the bed. about 10 minutes later, a doctor walked in and introduced herself as Dr. Shari. She was a cute Little Indian lady with black and brown dyed hair and a beautiful face. She asked me to put on a hospital gown while she prepared the ultrasound machine. I stepped into the bathroom and took off my clothes. I nearly peed Myself trying to take off my pants. I waddled out of the bathroom and laid on the bed. Shawn pulled his chair over and he grabbed my hand. The doctor squeezed the Cold gel onto my swollen stomach. She rubbed the thing on my stomach and squinted at the screen. I heard the heartbeats get louder and they were going pretty fast. Shawn's eyes widened and he let go of my hand.

"Why is the baby heart beating so fast? " I asked. Dr.Shari shook her head but looked at me with great joy.

"Your babies heartbeats. Those are twins in your belly, Miss Crenshaw." I gasped and Shawn looked like he was about to throw up. He stepped out and basically ran down the hallway. I felt tears falling down my face and Dr.Shari rubbed my hand. "Weren't expecting that huh? Well, you're quite big to be only 4-5 months along. And lets see." She rubbed the little dial along my stomach some more. "There's two heads. and 8 limbs. And I see Vaginas!" I cringed at the word and smiled at the same time. "I've got two little girls!" I smiled and felt more tears.I wiped my face and she printed out the ultrasound. I wiped off the gel and got back up to go change. "Thank you so much Doctor." Dr.Shari held out her hand and said "Anytime sweetheart. I will be back soon to give you the pictures and set up a new appointment." I nodded and went to the bathroom to change back into my clothes. I was only wearing some yoga pants, a Pink brand sweatshirt, and some black vans. I walked out and noticed Shawn standing at the door smiling. I think after he let all that stuff go, he felt much better about having two little girls come into the world.

While at home, Shawn and I were laying in bed talking about who cares what. I looked at the engagement ring on ny finger and tapped at it.

"When are we actually going to do this?" I said, holding up my hand. Shawn shrugged and said "I...I don't know. After we have these babies I guess?" I nodded and said "Ehh, whatever. I don't know, I'm scared. I'm only 23, I dont want all my kids right now. And I'm scared of shooting two human beings out of my vagina in a bloody rage while I have you and two other doctors staring at me and their nose inside of my guts. That's a thrill, " I rolled my eyes and watched Shawn laugh in front of my face.

"Hey, its not funny. I'm scared now, and my feet are killing me." Shawn got up and walked into the bathroom, still giggling about my giving birth joke, even though I found nothing funny. When he walked back to the bedroom, he flopped on the bed with cocoa butter lotion.

"Time to rub them corns babe!"

[Jordan POV]

Dante and I are leaving in three days, so while we were packing I had bought a new coat, some more ugg boots and long John's. Dante said its really cold in New York this time of year, and better safe then sorry! While pulling out stuff to wear for the week, my phone rang on the bedside table and Dante picked it up.

"Hello?" He said. "Put it on speaker please!" I told him. he pressed the speaker button and It sounded a lot like Briann. "Hey babe!" She shouted. We both said Hi, and I turned back around to dig through my closet for clothes. "Guess what, I have some extremely shocking news," Briann said and Sighed. She may have been asleep, but it didnt seem like she was so excited herself. "What is it?" I asked, staring at the phone.

"Well today, we went to the doctor's to find out the sex of the baby and..." I knew why she was so upset. She's probably... "Aww You're having a boy? I know you didn't-" She cut me off and said "No Jordan! I'm having twins." My eyes widened and I screamed. Dante looked at me and busted out laughing. "Oh My Gosh! Boys or Girls?" I asked, having a seat and catching my breath on the bed. "She saw Vaginas!" She said, laughing at herself. So, I'm going to have two cute little neices at the same damn time. "Congratulations Briann, I'm so happy for you. How do Shawn feel about this?" She sighed, much louder this time. "He threw up twice and had been sleeping since 2:00. Its 6:30. Do you guys want to go to Dinner?" I looked at Dante, asking if that was okay. He nodded and I said "Its a date!"
