Chapter 18

It was the first day of Holiday Break, and Remus was leaving. I woke up that morning and got dressed right away. I ran downstairs, trying to catch Remus before he left.

I ran to the DADA classroom and up the stairs to his office. I knocked on the door and let myself in. Remus was packing still, and a smile grew on my face.

"Iris, what are you doing up here?" He asked, still frantically packing.

"I wanted to say goodbye to you before you left. I assume finding my father won't be super difficult now." I said.

"I think I know where your father may be, but it's too dangerous to come with me to see him."

"Why? I've been waiting to see him my whole life!" I said.

"I know." Remus said, putting his hand on my shoulder. "But it's for the best. We need to keep your identity a secret."

"You know this is killing me." I said. "I can't stand it. I may as well let everyone know what my real name is. With my father escaped, people are going to find out sooner or later."

"We need to keep it a secret as long as possible." Remus said. "Until everyone does find out, we need to keep it a secret."

"Fine, as long as I do get to see my father at some point." I said.

"I swear I will let you see your father." Remus said.

"Thank you for going to find him." I said. I hugged Remus and let him go.

"Bye Iris." Remus said. "I should go."

"Bye Remus." I said. I hugged him again and smiled. I left the room and went to the Great Hall.

The Great Hall was emptier than it normally was. Harry, Ron, and Hermione weren't there yet. No Gryffindors were at the table. The only Gryffindors actually staying where the Weasley's, Harry, Hermione, Dean, and me.

I saw Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, Blaise Zabini, and Pansy Parkinson. Draco stood up and walked over to me. All the Slytherins with him started laughing as he walked over to me.

"Rhea." He said, a smile on his face. I hugged him tightly and let go.

"I'm glad you're staying here this Christmas Draco." I said.

"I'm glad you're here too. It wouldn't be Christmas without you." I said. I looked up and saw mistletoe growing above us. I looked in his eyes, then kissed his cheek.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." Draco said. I trapped him in a hug. We hugged tightly and I kissed him repeatedly on the cheek.

I felt someone pull me back, and someone pulled Draco back. I looked behind me and saw Pansy Parkinson. I scowled at her and elbowed her in the side, and she let me go. I looked over at Draco and saw Goyle holding him back. I pried Goyle off of Draco and shoved him back.

"What the hell you two!" I said.

"You guys were having too much fun without us." Pansy said. "We just wanted to join in."

"Piss off Pansy. And take Goyle with you." I said.

"Why do we need to?" Pansy said. "We just wanted have some fun."
