It's over!
It's finally over!
Roars from the class of 2025 make the floor vibrate.
I look over to my right and I see my best friend kissing her boyfriend.
That must be nice.
She breaks away, and runs up to hug me.
"Yay! We officially have no more school!" Kate says.
"Ha! Says the future teacher." I say winking at her.
"Well, I have to get a school that will hire me first." She says playfully rolling her eyes.
"I have no doubt you will." I say smiling.
"Well anyways, Brain is taking me out to dinner. Come with us." She says.
"No, I'm not going to crash your date." I say.
"Lynn, you won't be. You're my best friend and I want to celebrate with you, we just graduated college! Come with us!" She whines.
"No." I say pushing her towards Brain.
"HAVE FUN!" I yell.
Brain waves at me and then takes Kate's hand in his.
They really are good together.

"Honey!" My mom shouts.
I turn around and see my parents walking towards me.
"Hey! You guys made it!" I say while hugging my dad.
"You think I'm going to miss my baby graduating college?" He asks.
"We are so proud of you." Mom says while stroking my arms.
I hate it when people do that, it's like she's trying to break some awkward tension that's nonexistent.
"Well, we have to get going your brother has a football game in a couple hours and we have to drive to Stanford." My Dad says.
"Why? You just got here." I say with a frown.
"I know, I know but we need to be early for good seats in the stands." Mom says all excited.
Now I understand why my mom stroked my arm.
"Hi honey, we haven't seen you in 4 months. Congratulations on spending thousands of dollars on school. We have to go now because we always choose your brother over you.
"Oh okay. Tell Finn I said hi." I say with a hint of disappointment in my voice.
"We will. Don't party to hard!" Mom says while walking away.
"Bye!" They say in unison.
Love you too.

Wow. That was more depressing than I wanted it to be.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed chapter 1.
