Reading

Sleeping is required,
But ahh! I'm so tired,

Reading, is what I do,
Much different from you.

I read as often as I can,
Fill empty slots with books,
Absorb them into my brain,

Take them out, to have a look.

Reading is not for everyone,

Though some would disagree,
Others would deny it, lying through their teeth,
Reading takes patience,
That which is not to spare,
But I have a well of time, take from it without a care.

Others have hobbies,

They ask me what I do,
I reply smartly,

Why, what is it to you?

But reading is a part of me,

And if you don't like that,

I'm afraid we can't be friends,

Reading is my world of heaven,
Monsters and allies all around.
